It's most likely a dwarf planet out in the Oort Cloud beyond Pluto.
Edit: After scrolling down it turns our I am wrong. It's a Centaur planet. That means it has a classification of a comet and a moon due to the eradict orbit and because it can have a coma like that of a comet. Think of it as a rouge asteroid just wondering between planets.

It can't be if IO is a moon of Jupiter and it was the last place the traveler touched.

I was wrong, it is a Centaur planet. It is classified both as a comet and an asteroid due to the unstable orbit it had. That being said, just because the Traveler's light got as far as Io doesn't mean the other species haven't been there.

I agree but then I have to question the plant life on Nessus since the traveler was the one to terraform the solar system. Of course, I doubt he terraformed the black garden as well so it's possible the vex are just as capableof terraforming.

I think at the start of the first mission on the planet failsafe said that the vex terraformed it
