Bought Destiny - The Collection & Got Lvl 40 Boost, but no Subclass Boost
I read that buying Destiny - The Collection would give me all the new DLC as well as a Level 40 Boost w/ a Subclass boost for the same character. Since it's not available digitally, I trekked over to my trusty game store and bought the disk - new, not used. I redeemed the code and got my Level 40, but I'm not seeing any consumable that would give me a subclass boost. A level boost w/o a subclass boost is pretty much pointless, so I can't imagine this is intentional and I was misled in order to pay $60 for something that I wasn't going to get and have to pay an additional $30 for, RIGHT?!?!

The Destiny - The Collection does not include a subclass boost. You will only receive the Spark of Light for levelling your character.

You don't get a subclass boost with the collection, just the boost to level 40. The subclass boost is an extra thing in your console store for $30 and is an additional level 40 boost, along with completely filling out one subclass.
