I remember Bungie saying they couldn't do better because the ps3 was holding them back. I guess their lips are sealed now. Bungie lies, a lot. I know this comment will upset many Bungie apologist, but I'm been around long enough to see how much they break their promises.

PS3....couldn't do 60 fps at 1080...and neither could the original XB1. PS4 can't do 60fps at 4k. It takes 8x the processing power to run something at 60 fps and 4K, than it does to run at 30 fps and 1080p. ...and Bungie---to their credit----isn't willing to dumb down the PVE experience to reach frame rates that only matter to people who play PVP. Because that processing power can be used for other things that are more important.
-
Old gen couldn't do things Destiny 1 could do New gen cant do things Destiny 2 could do Shows how much they are advancing the game.
-
Its seems like Destiny 2 is pushing the systems to their limits.

I remember they made that announcement and knew that it wasn't true, but yet everyone ate it up and started bashing on those who didn't have a next gen console. I grew up with Destiny on ps3 all the way until taken king release (moved on to ps4) so seeing everyone hate PS3/360 players and calling them names was hurtful.
-
Grow up?

Apparently PS4 is the problem cause it can't handle 60 fps and the 4k resolution thing or something like that.
-
None of the console can. The jump from 30 fps at 1080p to 60fps at 4k is requires EIGHT TIMES the processing power. Because you're doubling the frame rate, and QUADRUPLING the number of pixels that need to be rendered. ..and that's before you have to do all the calculations to render everything ELSE that's going on in the game world. If playing at 60 fps and 4K is that important...spring for a PC.

Edited by roman_emp85: 5/21/2017 7:35:23 AMI can provide you with a list of ps4 that run on 60 fps or close to 60 fps if you would like? I know the ps4 can handle more than 30 fps. Bungie will always have an excuse for giving us half-ass content. You just never notice it until after you've bought their product. They always make promises they have no intention of keeping, and they are always shifting the blame around on whatever is convenient for them.

All the games that are 60 fps on console are PVP based unlike destiny 2 where they focus on PVE heavily compared to other 60 fps games. Get ur facts right before u start chatting sh*t.

PS 4 can run games at 60 fps AT 1080p. A regular PS4 wouldn't get within sniffing distance of 60 at 4k....and even the PS4 PRO can generally only do it with upscaled 4K. ...and while the Scorpio has been able to do in in tech tests....MS still hasn't announced a PRICE yet.
-
Scorpio will run it at 60fps.
-
Go check fps on the witcher 3 (large rpg with insane graphis) barely runs at 30 on console
-
Yep. That game is notoriously resource hungry, and is considered a good game to test the power of your rig.
-
Yup, my first purchase when i built my pc. Runs mostly at 60 other than some graphic intense scenes where it drops to the 40's

Bungie stated in an IGN interview that the PS4 Pro cannot handle the scale/size of Destiny 2 at 60fps. There's no way for anybody but them to know this for sure until the PC specs are released. Then those numbers can be compared to that of the PS4 Pro specs (or XBox Scorpio). I'm personally pretty curious about this but the lack of a higher frame rate is honestly the least of my personal worries when it comes to Destiny 2.

In my opinion. Bungie maybe sacrifice frame rate over quality of graphics for D2. The best thing that Bungie could have done is that to give us that option in the game menu if we have the right equipment. I have both pro and x1s and using b6 oled lg 55inch screen and Destiny looks fracking awesome already and after watching D2 gameplay can tell that the graphics looks 3x better than Destiny. I don't understand why Bungie devs cannot give us this option for performance on quality over graphics.

I heard a larger t.v. makes the experience a bit laggier in the frame rate department. Have you experienced anything like that?
