• Praedyth was the Warlock companion of Kabr, the Titan who ventured into the Vault of Glass. Convinced by the words of Osiris, Kabr unlocked the doors to the Vault, with Praedyth and Pahanin, the Hunter, by his sides. Based on the location of the Aegis relic, Kabr was most likely felled in the Templar's Well. Fighting off endless waves of Vex, the Titan eventually collapsed, came to the conclusion that he could go on no longer, then infused his remaining Light with the living metal of a Vex's frame in order to give future Guardians a chance to conquer the Vault. Seeing as Kabr didn't get past the Templar, it would seem that the same can be said about Praedyth. We know that he was erased from time by one of the mechanisms located in the Vault, but there are multiple enemies that could have done this: Atheon, the Gorgons, and the Templar. Some people would point to his corpse being found in the Gorgon caves, and there's a chance that he was able to sneak past the Templar and was erased by the Gorgons, but this doesn't seem likely. Remember - he wasn't killed, he was displaced from our perception of time and potentially space. He's wandering through time within the Vault endlessly, both alive and dead. In the Vault, all time happens simultaneously thanks to the power of Atheon and the Vex. Praedyth has yet to enter the Vault, is alive in the Vault and is dead in the Vault, all at the same time. What most likely happened: Praedyth was erased by the oracles and the Templar, thrown into endless time, leaving Kabr to fight by himself. Fun note: when analysed, one of the scientists from Future War Cult came to the conclusion that Praedyth may have designed the weapon "No Time To Explain" based on the "Stranger's Rifle" and let it drift through time until we found the schematics. But this is just a theory (implied to be true). Pahanin, Kabr's other companion, escaped the Vault and slowly went insane as his two friends had suddenly disappeared from his consciousness, due to them being erased. He became obsessed with the thought that he was "alone", so he designed a machine gun that could talk to keep him company. Super Good Advice. He was later killed by Dredgen Yor.
Sorry for going into details with these other characters - you can't talk about Praedyth without mentioning the other members of his fireteam.
Hope this helped!

 • Thanks! Also, I had a thought, what if an oracle/gorgon erased itself? It would be gone, but there would be no "it" to begin with, so it never erased itself therefore making it exist, witch would mean it did exist to erase itself, and it goes on forever. That lead me to wonder about how there erasing ability works. The loop above also works with things. If a guardian was erased, there would be no guardian to erase in the first place, so it never got erased. So that means that half the time praydith is in the time when he was erased, and the other half of the time he is floating through space and time. Eventually, he probably would figure out what was happening, considering erasing something takes a small amount of time. He could eventually leave the vault and return to time. Is there something I'm missing, because it seems so. Any help?

 • Time corrects itself so that Praedyth was always in the state of "erased". If it makes it easier for you, try to think of it as him being moved to another dimension. In this dimension he experiences time fluidly, but he cannot affect his state. If he was erased by the Vault, then the Vault stopped existing, then Praedyth would've "never existed", so to speak. Time and space would be torn as he was pulled from reality, then as it mends itself, "Praedyth" would no longer be part of it. The Vault still exists though, which bends and contorts time and space. So Praedyth is no longer part of reality, but the Vault still has access to the "dimension" where he was thrown. Once somebody is "erased", it's permanent. They experience the ocean of time, but they don't have to keep being erased every time they see themself enter the Vault. Hope this made sense!

 • Also, in my theory he returns to where he was erased the last time, not the original time.
