To everyone saying the Scorpio will be the only console that'll support D2 with 60fps, get real or show the proof.
-6 teraflops of GPU
-2.3 GHz custom CPU
-1 TB HDD storage
-12 GB GDDR5 memory
-326 GB/s Bandwidth memory
~plus the HDR and 4K
And yet there's no mention of 60fps, so if it's gonna run at 60 then show some proof

Edited by AisleBeBock: 5/21/2017 1:50:25 AMWell considering a GTX 1070 has like 6.5 Teraflops and it can run almost any game at 60fps 1440p which is even more demanding than 1080p so I don't see why the Scorpio wouldn't be able to. I'm not saying teraflops is everything but it is a good gauge of compute performance.

If we're just talking about a graphics card with the closest terraflops to a scorpio, it would be an rx 580 with 6.17.

RX 580 can still run almost all games at 1080p 60fps either way.

The gpu in the pro is powerful enough, but eight cores at 2.1 ghz isn't enough for 60 fps (stable). The scorpio will only have eight cores at 2.3 ghz, who knows if that's enough of an increase to make it run at 60.

Yea that is a disappointment, hopefully the CPU won't bottleneck the GPU but by what you're saying its looking like it might be the case.

Microsoft bulit Direct3D 12 directly into the system’s GPU command processor. It's been stated that this could cut CPU rendering overhead by half. So that maybe the boost of cpu processing power that could push scorpio in achieving 60fps.

There is no proof, however, given the specs you listed it should be possible to achieve. I plan on getting scorpio, i will play D2 at 30fps or 60fps. Being at 30fps for Scorpio is not a deal breaker so much as a head scratcher wondering why?

I'm getting Scorpio too, but it's like the posts saying Project S will be the leading console in this generation is just smoke and mirrors If it runs at 60 then hey good on them But it's like Don't brag about something that doesn't exist yet [spoiler]technically doesn't exist [/spoiler]
