While I don't know much about the details when it's comes to all this stuff I'm willing to bet the biggest reason that consoles won't have 60fps is because of the regular PS4 and regular Xbox. I have a hard time believing the PS4 pro can't handle it, and just because Luke smith says it can't handle it doesn't mean it's true, and i have a harder time imagining that the Scorpio won't be able to do it either. Imo it more comes down to the fact that if player A is on regular Xbox running 30fps and player B is on Scorpio running on 4K at 60fps we can all imagine who will probably win that 1v1, and that makes it a unfair advantage. It would also greatly effect pve as well if you have a fireteam that is half running 30fps and the other half running 60fps. I'm sure this is the case, so the team just decided to keep it at 30fps, but that's is the opinion of someone who doesn't know much when it comes to the console specs.

  • Does fps make that much difference that it gives an unfair advantage to another player? PC gamers are given the option to choose. Why would the logic be different for them? PC gamers chime in here is this a problem on your platform? I thought 4K would have been of a bigger advantage than FPS as objects in the distant would appear clearer and crisper. I just feel like bungie should give console people the option to choose especially when on the pro or Scorpio. If those console can't handle 4K/60 then at least have an option for 1080/60

  • Like I said I don't really know but my original post seems the most logical to me, I can tell you in the crucible I would think it would make a huge difference, but once again that's just what seems logical to me. if you have a 1v1 with someone who is using a regular controller vs someone using a scuff or elite with trigger stops, the second player will be able to a.d.s. More quickly and probably be able to out shoot them, this I know to be fact and I can imagine it would be the same for 30fps vs 60fps
