Why raiding is a huge pain in the ass for me

Even with the numerous LFG websites available, getting a team together can be such a hassle. Nobody trusts anybody, so everyone makes demands of the people they get together with on these things (know what to do or you're kicked, I want to do this first try, etc.), which in turn pushes potential playmates away and makes them even harder to find. It can take anywhere from a few minutes, to over an hour to find a group of six. Once that's done, any number of things can go wrong to make things difficult. Someone's mic could cut out, something could go wrong with their controller, or their internet connection could die. The past three times I've attempted the Aksis challenge, my mic has shut itself off without warning before we've even started, forcing me to leave. I mean, how can I expect ANYONE to raid with me when my mic doesn't work!? I have spent over five hours total JUST LOOKING FOR PEOPLE, and every single time, it's all been for naught due to my mic crapping out on me just after we get a full group. I'm not denying the responsibility I have for making sure my mic works, but for god's sake can we at least get some goddamn matchmaking in Destiny 2? If my mic is going to cut out on me right before I begin a raid, I'd much -blam!-ing rather it not be after I've spent so goddamn long finding six people!!!

  • If you missed the Livestream, they announced an in-game "guided games" where you can find or create groups for co-op activities based on selected criteria such as mic & estimated commitment time.
