True and untrue. the human eye receives around 70-80 fps I think. But we can still perceive the inbetween frames which is what makes it choppy. Some people notice the difference between 60 frames and 120 for example. While this is less common, mostly everyone notices the 30 to 60. And half the frames is a big difference. If it doesn't bother you than great, but the difference is both the speed the image is displayed and the smoothness. If you were playing someone else who hit more frames than you, you would get dysnched quickly.
