Hi, I'm a casual player and I loved the D2 reveal.
I'm a 57 year old player that mains a day one Titan. I'm not big into raids, and I don't PVP. I just like to shoot the bad guys. I couldn't tell you the difference between 30fps, or 60fps, dedicated servers or non dedicated servers or open world or whatever we have now. I just know that I love playing Destiny.
I've been playing since Thanksgiving of year 1. Almost everyday for at least an hour or 2 each day. I've bought all of the DLC's and expansions and I feel I've gotten my money's worth each time.I use to play Halo and Gears of War all the time, but now all I play is Destiny.

31 RepliesSo if you dont raid, you don't pvp, whats that leave you with? Strikes and patrols. So you love the game for just strikes and patrols. Developers and businessman love people like you. As for me, I desire greatness in all aspects of my video games. If I am going to spend my hard working money, I better get what I expect, was promised and enjoy every aspect.

9 RepliesI cannot wait until you get to play the beta. It's still Destiny, but it's also definitely a new game. Everything is familiar but also slightly different. The old subclasses are still there, but tweeked. Having 2 primaries is awesome. Exotics feel Exotic. Tripmines stick to enemies again 😄 The story seems incredible. The opening mission is awesome. The strike is intense as can be. Enemies are bossy. The game looks beautiful. It's still feels like playing Destiny, but it also has a very Halo feel to it now, but in a good way. We'll be doing a full report on our experience with it tomorrow, but I can tell you this. The level of passion that everyone we met at Bungie feel not only for the game, but for the community was really stunning to see. All the posts from people saying Bungie don't care could not be further from the truth. I think you're going to be surprised when you play D2 and it's going to be a good thing.

Good for you dude. I play with my dad and he is about your age, and destiny is the only game where he has actually had interest in playing it with me because he has fun, not just because he is trying to be a good sport and do something with me. I love destiny too. I do wish they would get some of these things you mentioned, but I will without a doubt be playing D2 with my dad.

Saying yes to everything thing they do doesn't help with improving the game. Criticism is needed to grow. You can still enjoy the game though, no one's stopping you.

1 ReplyHope I'm playing Destiny 12 in 20 years when I'm 57. Seems like there's a ton of people who didn't want Destiny 2. They wanted a different game altogether. Doesn't make sense. When they make a sequel for a movie, they don't change the cast and turn it from a comedy to an action movie. They keep all the stuff that made it cool and continue the story. Otherwise it wouldn't be a sequel. It would be a totally different movie with a name that made no sense anymore. Obviously Destiny 2 would be like Destiny 1. It should be. Only improved upon. What people expected didn't make sense.
