Well it is in our solar system seeing as that is where destiny takes place, and may very well be made up for it. Now is it real I'm not a well versed in that, can't give you an answer.

No, there is no real planet named Nessus.

It's a comet like object, but Destiny is treating it like a planet.

Well I didn't think it a planet to begin with, I think we would know about a new planet in solar system if it was one already. I just didn't know if they blatantly made up a new celestial body.
