Reason Why Destiny 2 Is 30 FPS On Console
Bungie explains why Destiny 2 is 30 FPS on consoles, even the PS4 Pro (CPU limits)

So why couldn't they bump up the framerate just for crucible? There's obviously not as much going on in PvP vs PvE. Did it just not occur to them? Haven't other titles done something similar like with Gears of War 4, I'm pretty sure they knew the console couldn't handle the campaign at 60fps but the multiplayer could. Competitive shooters should absolutely not be locked at 30fps. I'm going to want this game on PC for the uncapped framerate, but it's going to suck because it won't be available until mid October for whatever reason that I can't comprehend. Not to mention the content that will be exclusive to PS4 for at least a year which is just anti consumer. I could rant for like an hour about this bullshit, but I'd be wasting my time.

5 RepliesThe game engine is old with a mess of code... The engine was not re done from scratch.. Honestly this is more like a expansion with some added particle effects. Watch the strike, the engine chugs at 30 fps. This engine was designed for 360/PS3 days.

22 RepliesSame reason as no Regional Dedicated Host Servers - lazy and incompetent. BungleVision is still stuck in 2008 era when playing halo with Peer To Peer One Console was host was "okay". 10+ years later it isn't okay and other than "Andromeda Mass Effect" and "For Honor" (those did real well didn't't they folks?), those are the only major Titles using Peer to Peer One Console as Host networking. Unless Destiny 2 has Regional Dedicated Host Servers, I will not be buying it.

Ask you self first this before you asking about stupid fps. 1: how many ppl have latest version of PS4 pro ???? 2: and how many ppl have displays ( tv's ) that can support latest formats ? I bet no many . To be honest PS4 can run 60 fps easy but my opinion is to be easy for them they will make destiny 2 in same format for all PS4 's and PS4 pro's .

They need to just do 1080 p at 60. Most people don't have 4k.

I've always tried to figure out why I spent 400 dollars on a next gen console when many games never take advantage of the full hardware. 60 FPS 1080P shouldn't be impossible. Plenty of games do it. Just seems like any advancement of the medium is grinding to a halt on consoles. PC's have been able to hit this benchmark for years. Just seems kinda sad.
