Lots of youtubers say it and I didn't think much of it for a while, but this is something that really really improved my skill after a while of not feeling like I improved and it's something that's not hard to do.
RECORD AND WATCH YOUR OWN GAMES.
When watching a game your brain I can be 100x more focused on the little things that can make a huge difference because it's not busy actually playing.
It's extremely difficult to notice the mistakes you make while actually playing, and you'll be really surprised how noticeable some things are.
I'm a pretty good sniper, but once I started watching I realized I really need to focus on placing my sights at head level and these sort of mistakes become so much more apparent when watching a game.
Try it guys it helps.
-
Aim for the head
-
Play in a fireteam. I don't know what it is, but the latency was wayyyyyyyyyyyy better
-
Just get a ice breaker or no land beyond and side arm.
-
You probably have a problem if you care enough to recoding yourself and study it through. Just enjoy the game.
-
This and use a handcannon. You can learn to kill with that the rest is much easier imo.

TL;DR
Huge tip...is something that really really...not hard to do...When watching...the little things...it's not...actually playing...It's extremely difficult...while actually playing

Dirty boy
6 RepliesI just cannot run away, it isn't in me. I know my KD would be better if I would run away like most other guardians do.

Edited by S4GXL: 5/20/2017 6:01:07 AMHere's a better piece of advice: Step one: downgrade your Internet. The slower the better. Ideally you could hijack the wifi from the McDonald's across the street. Step two: run sticky grenades. Two of them. If you want, fist of panic is a good alternative. Also scrubstep or twilight noobison works to avoid having to use a gun. But whatever you do, don't use a gun under any circumstances. Sticky and slam everything. Before you know it, you will be going flawless on a regular basis.

Finally someone talks about not d2

Edited by TeddyBundy: 5/19/2017 4:25:58 PMBetter tipp: - Go in Rumble Supremacy. - Kill everyone but DO NOT collect any crests to be the last place all the time. Your lobbies will get easier and easier after every match until you fight baked potatoes only. You can go full tryhard and stomp those poor bastards and the game won't see that you're way above them in terms of skill because you still won't be first place. Your K/D will rise and rise. Have fun.

Started watching my own gameplay towards HoW. I was never really good at crucible to begin with, was always that fun factor that kept it from being competitive so who cared right? It honestly helps. I'm more prepared on how I want engagements to favor me, and just all around knowledgeable about PvP.

1 ReplyEdited by Doc Walker: 5/19/2017 9:54:25 PMMost of us have no respect for you tubers and streamers so opinion invalid. Most of us don't t have time to watch ourselves play video games. We want to play. More power to the guys who do have time but most of us don't.
-
Equip a crutchbreaker. Toss sticky grenades.
-
I think being calm helps the most, whenever I used to get upset at a death I'd lose momentum and play so poorly :(
-
I tried this and it worked phenomenally...in Year 1. I record frequently and anymore you know what I see? Regardless of red or green bar. Shots fired where my reticle is dead center on someone's head and no damage being taken. Sniping someone in the head and only doing bodyshot damage. Throwing Incendiary Knife at someone and the burn not applying. Landing Novas and Havocs on someone's head and them taking minimal damage and being launched. Being thrown into 1v3s and spawning into a snipe repeatedly. This PvP is so -blam!-ed for the average player on such a core level that, despite your thoughtful post, it is hard to overcome both your opponents and the game.

2 RepliesHere's a tip. Stop using sticky nades, and crouching with a sniper in your spawn because in Destiny 2, it's all about the primary. 😃
-
Edited by Stari: 5/19/2017 2:35:00 PMThis is good advice for a FPS with dedicated servers. In Destiny it mostly doesn't mean anything, because of P2P LATENCY. When the other player sees you 1 or 2 seconds earlier on your screen, you can be Nr. 1 in the Universe and you won't stand a chance ;) I just envy those players, which are on the good side of latency for 3 years now. Many streamers for example. And me maybe one in 5/6 matches.
-
On just play as a warlock. Also use stickies and sidearm = profit
-
1 ReplyThe bigger question is: Why don't we have Theater Mode like we have/had in Halo? In theater mode you can watch a PvP game from every player's perspective, not just your own. You can learn from the best players on the field and can learn from the mistakes made by others.
-
4 RepliesAll you have to do is join the cancer. Icebreaker and stickies, the ultimate no skill cheese. Hahaa!
-
10 RepliesFind a friend that is really terrible at PVP and convince them to play PVP with you a lot. You'll get matched up with folks closer to your friend's skill.
-
4 RepliesEdited by NYDIBS: 5/18/2017 11:30:58 PMI record my games, then go onto guardian.theatre and compare to my opponents recordings The latency is obvious. My opponent, red bar, snipes me no scope behind a wall On their screen, they are red bar, I'm green, they walk out, ads, snipe me then move back behind the wall Not much I can do to improve against that
-
1 ReplyTerrible tip and waste of time. If you are really serious about gettting your stats up turn on everything in your house that sucks up internet and put your console on the wi-fi as far away from the router as possible. You will be untouchable.
-
I thought op was gonna say something dumb like stop playing until d2 comes out
-
1 ReplyTerrible tip. If you really want to improve your kd, go into mayhem as a gunslinger
-
1 ReplyI do this too. Also I record "bullshit". Sometimes it helps figure out stuff. Like " oh that guy actually shot my lightning grenade out of the air that's why it never procced". Or ... I did shoot two rockets a foot away from that laggy a hole and he didn't take any damage". 🤔
