What is the best way to get throwing knife kills?
Does anyone know how to get throwing knife kills in the crucible? I am doing the quest called a hand full of bullets? What is the best load out for this step? What counts as a throwing knife kill?

Use a sidearm or handcannon. Shoot 1 headshot or 2 bodyshots and throw a knife. Knife does 150+ dmg on critical hit.

Pressing right bumper/R1 tends to work well.

Pick the node for an extra knife, node for precision knife kills reset melee charge, equip the exotic that gives you an extra melee charge or equip Felwinters artifact that gives an extra melee and grenade charge. I'd recommended doing this now while IB is here and abilities charge super fast, good luck.

So yeah test it out with primary weapon hit and precision knife hit and see how it works. Might only take one shot but maybe 2 and then the knife. Best of luck. Also run the perk for an extra knife on precision kills.

7 RepliesShoot them once or twice and throw the knife at the face. Also make sure you have it set up to do damage over time when the knife lands that way if it doesn't kill them from impact the burn kills them. Not a hunter main so I don't remember the perk names.
