Toland - because he's crazy and I love it. Seriously though, I've always loved the "mad scientist" trope, but they've taken it further this time around. This is one of the very few occasions where a good guy turns out to be an "evil" mad scientist, but in the long-run he's remained a "good guy". It was his guidance that lead Eris to direct us toward Crota's demise. Plus, he debatably assisted us in the assassination of Oryx. Yes, he's done some messed up stuff, but all with the intention of saving humanity. Whether he remains a "good guy" moving forward is to be seen.
