Huh?! Oh! Good evening everybody! This is Aifos comingvto you alive from none other than Yharnam! ..I think. One of those Amygdala grabbed me, and now everything's all twisted up.. Met this guy named Simon, and got this Bowblade from him! It's pretty neat! You can shoot it, watch!
*tew*
Heheh.. It's so fun. ^-^
Well, eh, anyway, got back into Bloodborne recently. My Str/Arc build already beat every non-Chalice boss but Laurence, but my Skl/Blt build was at Micolash. Played through that, and now I just got Laurence & the Orphan to beat.
Playing as a Skl/Blt build, I got the chance to try so many weapons, that didn't really work for my Str/Arc build. Reilterpasch was my main weapon through most of the game, but I recently fell in love with Simon's Bowblade. Let's just hope I don't regret making it +10..
But the weapons in Bloodborne are great. You can say what you will about lack of "variety" but Bloodborne's weapon variety is actually pretty close to on par with Dark Souls, when you look at the number of movesets, and not how often weapons drop. (what do you even need 20 Straight Swords for, anyway?)
Eh.. Sorry. Rambling. That whole "Bloodborne has no weapon variety" argument vexes me..
Tl;dr? Here's my point!
The question is simple; what's your favorite Bloodborne weapon(s)?
My answer:
Holy Moonlight Sword & Reilterpasch win thematically, but Simon's Bowblade is crazy fun to use!
Answer overall probably still goes to the HMS, but Reilterpasch & the Bowblade aren't too far behind.
I am boring...no fancy weapons for me, just a trusty switchaxe (or whatever it was called its been a while).
-
3 RepliesFavourite Weapon? Thats kinda tricky for me, Like them all for different reasons and builds. But if I had to choose a Top 3... Simon's Bowblade Holy Moonlight Sword Blades of Mercy

3 RepliesLoved the idea of the Stake Driver but it was so awful. Sure it could one shot so much stuff or do big damage, but it relied on your enemy damn near simply ALLOWING you to do it with the long charge & the minuscule range. My favorites are probably a 3 way tie between BoM - Sure they may not do much at first, but the speed you are attacking just shreds whatever is in your way. Rakuyo - Burial Blade - simply loved the idea of a scythe/sword

1 ReplyI just got this game and have no idea what's happening
-
2 Repliesfor me personally its the tonitrus, chikage, and burial blade i dont have the dlc so i dont have an opinion on those weapons
-
3 RepliesWell, I still didn't do much, beat some bosses (think my last kill was the witches or whatever in those woods near vicar amelia), then I went to the shadow realm-err nightmare land. I should play more. But that time will come when my ps4 is back to power. (It's not working :[ ) So far I've only been using the axe, and it's so amazing when 2 handed. It's at +5 or 6, something like that. Really efficent weapon and it satisfies my need for killing stuff with a badass heavy weapon, until I get a scythe, that's the best thing I have. (I hope it requires strength, otherwise... that's gonna be unfortunate...).

Ludwig with quality wrecks everything, use paper or that thingie that gives temporary arcane damage for maximum mayhem.
also the Oreo cookie is pretty nice.
2 RepliesOne of the many, many, many reasons I absolutely loved Bloodborne was because I could fashion souls a Jack the Ripper Fantasy using Threaded Canesword and then transition into a Musketeer Fantasy with the Reiterpallasch. To H3ll with stat disadvantages these are Fantastic Weapons and Victorian outfits to go along with the Fantasy.

1 ReplyGotta love the LHB. Such a perfect combo of strength and skill. Lightning fast moveset with standard mode and crushing force for trick form. You just have to have the perfect version of it to truly appreciate it (uncanny with three 27.2 blood gems).
-
7 RepliesLudwig's holy blade duh!
-
2 RepliesI got a PS4 last week. Bloodborne is my favorite game, mostly because I only have the Nathan Drake Collection and Bloodborne. I picked up Wasteland 2 and Killing Floor 2 today. My favorite BB weapon is Ludwig's Holy Sword.

I like Dark Souls' variety, but I always preferred Bloodborne's armoury. Each weapon was unique, whereas some weapons in Dark Souls feel same-ish. Personal favourite is the Chikage, though I got it after it was nerfed down from its pvp glory. Still good fun and all that.

2 RepliesLidwigs holy blade or whatever is called
-
I don't have the DLC but my favorites are the Kirkhammer and rifle Spear. I'm pretty simple and smashing enemies with a giant stone mallet never gets old to me.
-
7 RepliesSaw cleaver or the lady Maria weapon you get from these 2 sharks
-
2 RepliesThe threaded cane, my friend. The classiest weapon in the game.
-
5 RepliesRifle spear.
-
1 ReplyNothing beats transforming the whip back to cane form after killing something. *hits cane on ground, flaps cape and struts down the wet cobblestone
-
2 RepliesBowblade. Love most of them tho
-
Saw Cleaver, always the Saw Cleaver
Saw Cleaver
-
The beastcutter is my favorite weapon

1 ReplyHunter's Axe, Beasthunter's Saife, and Chikage. An argument could also be made for the Holy Moonlight Sword, but I haven't used that in a while. I just go Hunter's Axe and only use 2 handed for the sheer damage output. If you get hit by the charged R2, you're screwed.

3 RepliesEdited by Murph Tha Smurf: 5/12/2017 9:14:15 PMEasy kirkhammer. Effective, heavy, versatile, buffable, used by members of the Church, etc. That said, I've made a build around nearly every weapon, so I like them all.

2 RepliesA Call Beyond Kosm Parasite Ludwigs HMLS Bloodletter Bowblade Chikage+Evelyn/Repeater(only down here because of how incredibly meta it was) Honorable mention to the Cane/whip.
