Create Your Own Story
So in Destiny all we get to keep is our looks and class. That's it, and for a game centered around gear and not the person wearing the gear, that kind of sucks.
This is why we should create our own backgrounds, something that can give a little bit more connection to our mannequin like characters.
I personally love using the Hammer of Sol Titan, so here's kind of a backstory for him:
Exo Male named Helios 4
Helios was resurrected by his ghost on Venus, and was able to send out a distress signal to get back to the tower. An emblem of the sun painted on his armor tell him before he was resurrected, he was part of an elite team of Exos during the Golden Age, called the Solar squadron, and they were sent to protect researchers on Mercury. There is always a faint sensation of a disagreement between him and the rest of the squadron, along with him not agreeing with what the researchers were doing. His last memory was a rocket barreling towards him, and him taking the rocket knowing that he was saving something in doing so.
After his resurrection, he could not help feeling extremely lucky. This luck persisted when he faced off against Crota, Atheon, Oryx, and Aksis. On his encounter with oryx, he found a strange set of knuckle bones that seemed to call to him, and he kept with him ever since.
As the years went on, more memory flashes occurred of a dragon like figure escaping only because of a stopped projectile. More flashes come of great chains and a cave that was large enough to hold a massive beast. But Helios dismissed these, sending them to the back of his hard drive.
That's my story, and I want to hear yours!

[i]In his previous life, the guardian did not have this name. Originally, he was a human, living on Venus for planetary research, by the name of Jack. Due to a freak accident with the timeframe, and the corruption of the void-spectrum, Jack suddenly disappeared from his world, and was transported in the middle of a war on Venus. He could not breathe. His vitals restored, Jack found himself in a laboratory, that of which was one of the few buildings not slathered with white paint. He lifted his arm. Pain and agony rose up, as a metal chunk of an arm rose to greet the being. Of course, he screamed.[/i] So, yeah, Jack had his name changed to "mybeary" to masquerade himself from the other robotic beings and humans roaming the once-desolate planet. His name does not suit him, as ~Rehabitant Xenophobic Warframe~ was a dumb name for him. With the sole ability to change his consciousness to other bodies, he gathered two other bodies, and transferred his consciousness to a human female and a male warframe.

3 RepliesMy Exo/Warlock. HK-117 HK stands for Homocidal Killer, an accurate designation for this Exo. He was shutdown and trashed in a battle near an abandoned sector of the Cosmodrome outskirts. Unlike other Exos, he was custom-built by a man who lived in mystery and shadow. HK was reborn in the light as a warlock, and this triggered the only part of his memory he knows: his master was some sort of warlock, and his master enjoyed suffering in others, conquering other humans. HK believed he was reborn to serve his master again, but the tower records only mention his master as "The Revanchist". The criminal records however are FILLED with information on HK's kills. Unfortunately, the assasination and murder functions have deacitvated. It seems the light has programmed his consciousness with a loyalty to the Light. HK began traveling Earth and gaining strentgh, not for the Light or the so-called "Traveler", but so he can regain his memories and find his maker. Finally, after the combined efforts of Darkness from Hive corrupting him, and Rasputin's CPU contacting his mind, HK has finally regained more and more of his personality. The crucible was his playground, experimenting with torture grenades that killed his victims even if he died, The power of the Void entrapping them as he executed them. However, HK felt empty, even as the Black Garden was purged of inferior droids, or other "meatbag" creatures failed in killing him. Even the mighty power of Oryx put no fear in HK, he knew that his master's power was greater. In 3 years time, after his rebirth, he finally found what he was looking for, another creation of his master's: SIVA. He saw his master's work in SIVA, the corruption of darkness in the tech, the red and black aura. The SIVA mainframes were exactly what HK needed to find his master. When he convinced the new Iron Lords to aid him in recovering the data in the mainframes, within the Binary Code he discovered a message. "I am Revan, and before me you are nothing." FInally, he found something of worth, the pure scrutiny of those words fulfilled all HK dreamed, an incredible feat for an Exo, that his master would be, but the words changed. "Prepare, the Empire will strike back for what has happened, prepare, for Ghaul will come." The mainframe shut down. HK was disapointed, but not shaken. His master was alive, and he will find him again.

2 RepliesWhile this isn't the right section for this, I do love my back story dear Grey Kyren Human; Male Guardian type; Hunter. Grey was resurrected in the Howling Frosts. The frozen mountains of Australia that is stuck in a perpetual nuclear winter after the collapse. He has no memory of why he was there, but assumes from records that must have been a skiing holiday. Some fragments suggest a lost tourist that's body was never found. Grey assumes that was him. The guardian was resurrected very early, before the tower and the Iron Lords; but was trapped. The nuclear plant failure all across Australia wiped out the populace and any form of communication. So it was Grey alone and the growing number of fallen as they plundered what was left. It took near years for him to finally steal a skiff, learn to pilot it and find his way to the traveler. Only to be shot down by the very people he was trying to get to. He wasn't pleased being resurrected in the crash site with guns pointed at him.
