Fastest way to level up factions?
More specifically, what's the absolute fastest way to earn Motes of Light and Strange Coins?

Also, doing the Shiro weekly bounty and weekly quests give you 3000 rep towards Vanguard (not to mention engrams and marks), and 1500 towards your faction, before buffs.

Buy heavy with glimmer and seeds from Varix, buy heavy from xur, use marks for planet materials that week, use excess armor and weapon parts. Use excess motes. Turn old raid materials and trials coins into motes. Stack bounties to do 20 at once for pve or pvp don't forget bounties from Queen and Shiro. Use rep boasters. Never take off that exotic class item. I'm currently 433 FWC

2 RepliesMotes and strange coins are random, but strike playlist are probably your best bet. As for levelling up, don't upgrade anything you have no intention of keeping. Use everything to upgrade your faction. Maxxed out glimmer? Buy heavy synth from Gunsmith. Then use those temporary glimmer consumables to get it back. Maxxed out marks? Buy planet materials from Vanguard. Strange coins? Give them all to Xur for heavy synth.

2 Repliesif you have a lot of trials tokens or whatever to unlock the boons you can trade those with brother vance for motes.

Run poe the original one and farm sc from there give 4/5 sc at the ending

5 RepliesThere really isn't an "absolute" fastest way to gather either Motes or Strange Coins, but here are the ways that you can get them.. For Motes - Level up factions (including QW, HoJ, CB and Cryptarch) Level-up your characters If you have any the Year 1 upgrade materials (Ascendant or Radiant) - you can exchange them with the Speaker for motes Strange Coins - PoE Level 28 Level up factions (including QW, HoJ, CB and Cryptarch) The 'Mysterious Patrol bounties' Vanguard - Strikes with the Strike Streak (more even if you have a booster) The 4 weekly bounties from Shiro First daily PvE Public Event VIP patrol beacons Daily bounties The 3 Weekly Elite Bounties For Crucible - The 2 weekly bounties from Shaxx The Crucible Quartermaster weapon bounties The daily Crucible bounties Play Crucible (more even if you have a booster) City Factions [FWC, DO and NM] See the Vanguard and Crucible list above Once you've completed the faction quest (rank 25) - the faction exotic class item adds a small increase to the specific faction rep gain, but you scarfice either the Vanguard or Crucible rep gain buff (depending on the Champion perk) Exchange weapon or armor parts Exchange ammo synths Exchange planet resources (varies from faction and by week) Queen's Wrath - Daily bounties Cryptarch decrypt engrams House of Judgement PoE / CoE (more so if you have booster) Treasure key rewarded for the first completed QW bounty of the week Crota's Bane CoO King's Fall Raid Exchange planet resources (varies from faction and by week) Exchange Hadium Flakes Exchange Antiquated Runes

WotM is probably the best source of motes/coins, opening those caches give you 10 every time

Donate all your motes, buy the 10 pack of heavy from xur, and BEFORE YOU DONATE ANYTHING DO THE NIGHTFALL. For the added boost of donation, itll make a huge difference

Do patrols to pick up strange coins and glimmer and stuff like that from the loot caches. Then participate in and complete public events for more glimmer, strange coins, armor and weapon parts. Try and complete some bounties while yer at it! Pick up as much as you can of the natively growing materials there and donate them to the factions.

Play iron banner. Fastest way to amass coins and motes. Starts later today.

Nightfall before anything else, POE is a good way to get motes and strange coin. Then do all your bounties, pop a booster then either run crucible/POE/strikes for a few hours should get 2 rank ups per booster.

Also, always have a ghost or consumable that gives glimmer for killing enemies. When you hit the glimmer cap, buy weapon parts or armor materials to donate.
