It's was intentional as the warlock is based off the gorgons

Looks nothing like the gorgons, they have a taken-esque look. The armor is blue. If they stated it doesn't shader because they intend it to be like that, they are just using it as an excuse to be lazy. The concept art shows all sets being gold. The hunter and titans armors both change color with shaders.
