Best way to level back up in Destiny?
Hey guys! So it's been MONTHS since I've been on Destiny (had issues with PS account and finally got it solved) and I'm definitely behind in everything. From gear to light level on all my characters.
In your opinion, what's the best route to take to start creeping back towards higher light levels without doing raids yet? (I plan on doing some soon, but would like other options to be myself prepared for all the updated stuff).

Play everything you can and be sure to use every daily/weekly bounty available that you think you can do. Harder difficulty missions, quests, strikes, crucible matches, and archon's forge. Equip every piece of gear that's a higher level/light as soon as you can and don't worry if they're not the best. As long as you have your max light, anything new you get will be at the same light or higher, helping you achieve 400 light as fast as you can.

Strikes, archons forge, and when you're high enough, raids Iron banner is coming back tomorrow so that'll crank you up to 400 in no time.

I suggest doing a mix of Crucible and patrols. You get lots of items from patrols and you get great items Crucible. You can also get legendary marks from Crucible, which you can use to buy other items. This is how I get better items.

Edited by MootConstant975: 5/8/2017 6:50:55 PMI would start doing any quests you may have, then doing heroic strikes.I believe Iron Banner is coming back this week, so that is another great option to increase your light.Also don't forget your bounties and leveling up your factions as well.Finally Archon's Forge...you can get alot of engrams and good loot there.

Look for activities that gives you legendary marks and buy boots, arms and chest (75 marks each at 380 light) Do RoI and do Tyra's Quest for a 380 artifact. Forge will give you everyting but primaries and heavy. Don't forget Iron Banner.

4 RepliesComplete the rise of iron quest line and churn out patrol missions on the Plaguelands. Cos Gaming has a great video on getting 20+ faction packages a week so you'll easily get higher light level gear. Archon's Forge will help get you higher level ghosts, artifacts and class items, Crotas Bane and Gunsmith also drop gear up to 400. One you hit 380, you can do strikes too. If you ever need a hand, add me. I love the RoI campaign.
