Funny Way to Derank your Matchmaking Bracket
I did something funny this weekend.
Play Rumble Supremacy and only slay, never take a crest. So you place last on every game. Do this for some time and watch yourself moving down the matchmaking ladder.
On the way down amazing things are happening.
People stop using hand cannons.
People stop using sidearms.
People stop moving while shooting.
People stop looking on their radar and just run around hoping to find someone.
People stop using warlocks - Titans are everywhere.
People hit shit.
Its amazing. I just went into this stupid game mode to practice my Handcannon shot (switched from my LitC High Fixer to the new Pali). At some moment you have to stop, though. It kind of gets crazy when you out slay the winner 2-1 without even trying.
But while you can, try it. It really brings to life the old problem that people in this forum who play in different brackets actually and truly play a different game.

I think k/d is taken into account, though. I play pretty conservative, so low scores and (relatively) high k/d, but I still get overmatched from time to time. Often, lately.

14 RepliesOr you can just quit 10 games in a row and then get matched up against cute adorable noobies <3 just leave right before game ends, rinse and repeat. I tried this quitting tactic on an alt and I got it 10.5kd with 2000 kills ^^

1 ReplySometimes I have some bad games, and then all the sudden, I get like a 3.0 or something close to it. Then the next game, it decreases again. Maybe this is why?

I had told people to bomb matches during the Taken King for this reason, no one listened. I doubt they will listen to you either, but matches are fun where I keep myself not stupidly easy but not so hard as to need a "meta" weapon.

This perfectly sums up everything that is wrong with "casual" crucible. Well, at least the matchmaking for it. My river of issues with the crucible runs deep and wide...

Kinda sad you could only git high kills against thumbless noobs, meanwhile i do this against kids that have a clue on how to shoot a gun but i might try this ;)

It's great to jump in a match after my son has been playing. Neither of us are great but I'm considerably better than him so I will have a couple amazing games before it sets me back into the bracket [i]I[/i] should be in.

I've been deranking as well it really is nice being able to play a game and not have to use the Meta weapons just to keep up because everyone else in the match is. finally get to 'play your way' without being punished for it. my strategy is a little different though, I've been doing this in Any Rumble mode, not just Supremacy. I just Dance and Teabag the air all match, no shooting. get tons of Messages afterwards, usually people thanking me for helping with their various quests, or "luls wtf? nice troll"
