Please put a shooting range in the new Tower/Reef/Iron Temple. I love when I get new guns but I hate having to load a combat zone to test them. Add a shooting range where you can max out a gun, for no resource cost, in that area only to try out setups. Once you leave then you will need resources to up grade the gun.
Also, ad some mini games to the social spaces. Not sure what but it would be fun to have something to do there other than kick a ball around.
Edit: I think some people are missing my point. Not sure how many are old enough to remember it but in Perfect Dark, the one on the N64, there was a shooting range at your home base. I want something like that just not have all the weapons unlocked from jump.
So for example; in the new social space, where ever that may be, you visit ol' stash-ass Rahool. You decrypt a new gun and you want to try it out. Instead of having to leave the social space, load and wait for the activity to load you can just go visit the shooting range to try it out. And you can even taking it further like in Perfect Dark and have medals or rewards for accomplishing set goals at the range.

How about proximity chat
-
Put it on your ship with a vault that can hold 10k items that can be sorted.

I like this idea! Would love to see it in D2. For all who are responding negatively, stating that all the "whiners" should just load up a patrol, I think you're missing the point to some degree. Efficiency =/= laziness. It would be efficient to be able to dry test weapons while you are within walking distance of the vault if you are determining what weapons you may want to dismantle vs. keep around while inventory purging, etc. And before the response of "just use the app to transfer them to your inventory", once again - it's a matter of efficiency. If you're going to argue that this is just a "lazy" idea...then why should we even be afforded the luxury of using the destiny app to transfer weapons and other gear between inventories?? We should have to load up the tower and walk to the vault to retrieve them like real guardians!
-
Surely patrol is the shooting range, I guess it's annoying with the loading screens but in reality that's basically all patrol is now
-
1 ReplyWe should be able to kill guardians in the tower
-
Maybe have one similar to overwatch's offline place where you chose a character and tested abilities and guns on various rooms and dummies.
-
17 RepliesBecause why play the game when you can just stay in the social space. Nope. When I get a new weapon and level it, I immediately jump into either the cosmodrome or the plaguelands to test it. You get the feel of it in context and you get the usual XP or bounty progress. I cannot understand how people think it's so hard to take two minutes to load a map. F-cking millennials.

That's a weird way of spelling caves

3 RepliesWill there be safe spaces?

There are many games that have some type of range to practice weapons, but the fact that your example was Perfect Dark....that's takes me back. That was a sweet game. Good reference. I don't think they should let you upgrade or max for free, but maybe while in the range, all of the gun perks are temp enabled so you can test it properly.....then when you leave the range, you have to level it up on your own.
-
Borderlands 2 also had a place where you could go and test damage and play around with different skill combinations.
-
2 RepliesWhat is so difficult about going to orbit, then choosing to go on a patrol? Does one need a team to carry the lazy whiny f**ks to a patrol to test their weapons? Or maybe one needs someone to do an account recovery just to take you to a place to test your newly acquired weapon/s?
-
This would be completely unnecessary and a waste of time, but it's not like imma be mad if it's in the game.
-
6 RepliesI propose pvp in all social spaces and friendly fire in all pve activities. Plz Bungie.
-
I want custom games that you can really customise. Like Overwatch's custom game. You can customise everything to the seconds of the ability charge to the speed of the weapon firing. This would make Destiny so much fun.
-
I like the ideas man.
-
It would also be cool to let us test weapons balances before the final release. So we can have a week of testing and then bungie can ask us what have to be changed

I hope, i really truly hope, the cabal murder Rahool slowly. And yes, a shooting range would be nice. I don't want to have to fly out, load a damn patrol area, search for an enemy just to test out a weapon i may or may not like.

There is more then kicking a ball.
-
Isn't that what patrol is for?
-
4 RepliesThey won't do it for this Destiny but would be cool to have a shooting range in D2. Kinda like BL2 had at Marcus's shop.
-
This is a really good idea. The Division and Warframe both have versions of this. Great for damage, accuracy, range, damage falloff, etc. testing.

Edited by bjw: 5/8/2017 3:24:58 AMHow about trying out new guns. Just like eververse. Try before you buy for 15 minutes Also try different perks to see which one suits you best.

Great idea bro. Many other games use this to good effect. Add in a virtual trash mib/shielded major targeting option and we're gold. Trash mobs die to everything quickly, it's the yellow bar bastards who truly shine a light on garbage archetypes. I bet I'd use more guns being able to try them out leveled up first.

It would be cool if you could try out any weapon in the game at the shooting range, obviously you could ONLY use it in the range though.
