How do carries, and recoveries do anything to the "competition"? Whether those "good" players are doing carries, and recoveries, or not, they'd still be playing. You'd still have as likely a chance of running into them, whether they're doing them, or not. At least when they're doing carries, they have a bit of a handicap, with the person being carried on their team. At least when you come across a carry, it's 2 good + 1 average player. The odds of winning against that, is better than if they just had 3 good players on their team. Recoveries are just about the same thing. It's usually 3 good players that you're playing against. If you lose to them, you'd lose whether they were doing a recovery, or not... right? It may bother you that someone who is not very good, is benefiting off of someone who is; our that people are getting paid, because they're good at the game, and can do carries, and recoveries. But just because they are doing a carry, or recovery, it doesn't somehow make them harder to beat, than they would be, if they weren't doing it. They'd still be just as good as they always are, when they're not doing carries, or recoveries, and they'd probably have an even better chance at winning, if they weren't doing it, since they'd have 3 good people on their team, and all of the gear that they're used to using. Whereas, with a recovery, they'd have to try to use whatever gear that person has, which probably isn't what they're used to. And with a carry, they only have 2 good people, instead of 3.

  • That's not really true though is it. Wasn't the idea of trials to encourage teamwork? Getting a team together and playing together until that coordination and team cohesiveness builds over time? 2 people, or even 1, in the top 5% bracket for elo or kd, or whatever, who plays destiny all day every day will annihilate 3 average people every time, if he's carrying one person or two. It's the way it is. The fact that these people can play trials as many times as they want over a weekend, or resetting their cards after 4 wins or whatever it is to face weaker teams, can't possibly be considered competitive. I don't personally care if trials is in the game or not, I hate it so don't play it anyway. But I do feel it needs ranked lobbies. If you go flawless, then you move up to another lobby, so on and so forth. I know that idea has been thrown around a lot and is always shot down by the trials regulars, who then proceed to talk about how they like to play competitively. Those people just want to match against people that they are better than, stomp then, then stroke themselves off while mumbling about how competitive they are.

  • If anyone can go 9-0 a 100% of the time then they are not facing "good" players. Trials is so broken it started killing pve.
