Yes that is true, but when there is a game mode where it is super competitive and the population is stagnant, stays the same. It is bad. No new players want to play trails because they are not good enough, so after a couple months of playing destiny they leave because there is nothing for them to do. Two things need to happen to trials either it gets scraped or they rework so everyone can have fun and succeed in it.
