I think it's more that every weapon balance has been because of that game mode. And those who play it religiously need to try something else.

Wouldn't be a problem if they didn't to blanket nerfs And kept PvP and PVE balances apart from each other.

That's not true. There were nerds in year one also. Bungie made the game with the intention of a rotating meta so people would always grind for the best gun at the time.

Trials has been here since year 1 but other than the broken Vex or Suros not many balance patches were made until Trials came out. Then they saw what was OP in a 3v3 and nerfed half the classes and weapons in just a few months and most of year 2.

Trials wasn't until the end of year 1.

I'm sorry but you are wrong on that one. The House of Wolves brought trials into destiny and Adept trials guns had burns back then. Look it up I still remember it because of the 2 tap Thorn and 1 tap Hawkmoon.

I'm aware it came at the HoW there were still nerfs going on before that.

I'm aware but they weren't massive like the weapon reworking that happened at the start of year 2 or other nerfs like the Self res with less armor.
