I'll say this, though, not to disagree with you, but imagine if strikes were more random instead of known and predictable. What if they worked more like rifts in Diablo 3 and you just didn't know what you were in for?
I know the strikes play a role in telling story, so the path should be known, as well as the enemy, but I'm just positing: what if there was always the threat of an enemy coming in from an unpredictable position or if it just had a modifier for itself (which you were made aware of, but had to adjust to)? What if every time you played the same strike the enemy had a different strategy to keep you out?
I think that stuff would stream really well. Hopefully they have figured this out because the main reason I don't play strikes much anymore is that they got too boring. If they weren't boring, maybe more people would watch that instead of or as much as they do PVP.

I play a lot of Diablo 3 And I approve this idea. This would see stream time for sure, Trials would still be a thing however. Competitive play usually gets more views, regardless of PvE epicness such as this.
