Stuck on allegiance quest... can't change allegiance
I'm using my Warlock and just completed the Laksmi allegiance quest, she said to go to New Monarchy, I got the allegiance, but no quest step is in my menu... I don't get the option to join any other allegiance, even if I delete the New Monarchy allegiance, which only allows me to purchase the Future War Cult allegiance which I was offered for free previously.
Now what? I think I'm on the Salvage step but I'm not seeing Salvage in Crucible this week.

You do not need to change allegiances or join a particular faction to complete the quest you were doing. Once you change factions, you'll have to wait until after next reset to change to a different one.

6 RepliesAllegiances can only be changed once per week and isn't required to complete the factions quest, however skirmish isn't an available playlist this. Also if the quest is no longer in your menu you should check the abandoned quests kiosk by the vanguard mentors.
