Why the Cabal are the most powerful race
Here's the thing. The Destiny 2 trailer reveals that the Cabal Empire destroyed the Tower and most likely ravaged the Last City. This is something that [i]no other enemy race[/i] was able to achive. The Fallen couldn't do it, Crota and the Hive couldn't do it, the Vex couldn't do it, even Oryx and the Taken couldn't do it, and the Taken consist of all enemy races. The Fallen couldn't even do it when enhanced by SIVA. And before you say that SIVA wasn't much of a challenge, check out my post on why that is.
The Cabal are also the only race with any real military strength and strategy besides the Vex. Before you say that this is false, calm down and read a bit more. While going throughout the game, it felt as if the attack patterns of the Fallen and the Hive were a bit too random to be organized. The same goes for the Taken. However, while the Vex are literally based off of military strategy (different minds control different units), that military strategy falls apart when facing a Guardian due to the fact that the Vex can't predict us since they don't understand us. The Cabal, however, are able to keep a stable military strategy while facing any enemy, which in this case makes them outclass the Vex. The Cabal even have the best abilities when Taken:
Psions can duplicate themselves.
Phalanx's have the shield that does damage and knockback.
Centurions have the floating ball thing that I can't remember the name of that does alot of damage.

1 ReplyNope vex are more powerful. They're just gimped ingame because if we'd fight the Vex from the lore we wouldn't stand a chance. They are a hive mind of millions that can teleport through space and time. If we didn't need to be able to win in game they could just teleport over a 1000 minotaurs and destroy everything :D

The cabal have the potential to be the greatest threat in the system and even the universe. I say this because of one thing, their ability to adapt and change. They were able to create an anti paracasual device which the appliances are endless. They cabal could create weapons that are effective against our paracausal powers but not just us. The hive as well, they have the potential to be the greatest threat and one even the vex would fear.

4 RepliesI actually think that Cabal fleet in Destiny 2 aren't there to destroy us, well I don't think we are their goal at least initially weren't. After what happened to the Cabal moon base, and their fleet being destroyed basically by Oryx, I feel they were signaled to come there for revenge..but were then informed of how the guardians already took care of the problem, and instead of them just packing up and going back to where they came from, they decided to mess with the guardians who took out the one's they were after. Because it truly makes no sense as to why all of this time later on the Cabal out of nowhere wanna attack the guardians? So that's guess or speculation of why they've came to the tower/the city.

The hive defeated many civilizations, and yet they failed on their earth invasion attempt, despite the fact that they took the moon from us. The cabal were more successful than the hive with their earth invasion, even though they clearly showed they were no match for oryx. Yeah, makes sense.

1 ReplyExactly. The fallen rushed in blindly, for revenge. They got their asses kicked. The hive are mostly disorganized, and Crota sought to overwhelm us, like the Fallen. The vex are excellently minded, but they are simply just trying to protect their pattern, and erase us, who don't fit into it. Cabal? THOSE MUTHA -blam!-ERS GOT BALLS BIGGER THAN CHUCK NORRIS!! They come in and -blam!- us up! They have intelligence! They know our source of power! THEY RAM THEIR SHIPS INTO GODDAMN PLANETS!!!!

2 RepliesIt would be more believable if Oryx destroyed the city It reveals in the Books Of Sorrow that millions of species have fallen to Oryx endless thirst for destruction and death . Its sort of laughable that we stopped him with just 6 guardians

Lets be honest. The Vex never attacked the city. No, we were the aggressors the entire time. All because some mysterious chick walked up to us all sexy and called them the worst. Then left. Despite that, the vex asked for our help cleaning out their vault of Oryx's taken. As for why the cabal is the strongest, its because we never took out their leadership. Hive? Dead are Crota and Oryx. Fallen? We kill Kells and Primes as if they were dregs and shanks. Vex? We attacked them, killed their god in the heart of the black garden, killed Atheon and a few of their "minds".

They are the most powerfull race because they have explosive auto rifles. THAT NEVER RUN OUT OF AMMO!!! Thats why we lost . They could hit us behind cover. And the splash damage got through our ward of dawn.

1 ReplyCrota was going to, but Eris stopped him... then we killed him. The Fallen have tried, but aren't strong enough (well... to be fair if the Wolves were there then we would've gotten rekt). They did infiltrate it in the Gally quest, though. The Traveler was healing thanks to the destruction of the Heart of the Black Garden, so that light field was powerful enough to kick dark enemies like the Taken out. The first Cabal wave was cautious. It's obvious that the McDonald's Empire isn't holding back anymore. Since they don't have darkness, they can stroll right in. The Vex couldn't because of the Heart, which was their only solution (so far) for the Taken and us.

The Awoken were the only ones with a fleet. Oryx Crippled their fleet in a stale mate. Earth has no fleet. Cabal do. Cabal orbital strike the CRAP out of the tower while putting up the force field around the Traveler because they've been scouting us the entire time.

After reading the books of sorrows, and just learning how much chaos the Hive has caused makes the Cabal seem like a joke.

Cabal being the powerful ya but who the hell told you empire destroyed the tower. Did you see it. The empire only knew our existence now and dispatched red legion ONE of the powerful forces of cabal who took out our HQ. Imagine other forces of cabal that would be freaking terrifying

We crushed the fallen. Crota was recalled to his throne world by his father before he could take earth. Oryx's ship was disabled out past the asteroid belt and it would've needed to be closer for him to do any real damage. The vex are just strange.

Well don't forget the Awoken stopped Oryx's fleet. If it wasn't for them we would have probably gottet screwed pretty bad.
