Hunter Abilities in PvP

I just want to start things off by saying I'm a casual PvP player. My KD is sitting at a stately 1.2, I've never been to the Lighthouse, and I pretty much always play on my Hunter. Now, with that being said, I've been very frustrated recently trying to play as my Hunter in Crucible. Fusion grenades. Shoulder charge. Lightning grenades. Stormgrip Overload. Thunderstrike and pretty much every Warlock melee. And more Fusion grenades. Now, I'm not calling for nerfs and I'm not really whining, I just don't understand why some Hunter abilities were nerfed into the ground. Like why were tripmines nerfed? They don't track their target like fusion or magnetic grenades, and they shoot a beam of light letting everyone on the entire map know where they're at. And you could argue that throwing knives have the most range of any melee, but come on now. You have to be precise with those things. Warlocks just mash a button and melee you from the range of a good shotgun. OK, maybe I am whining, but so many of the Hunter nerfs seem unnecessary. Some of the Bladedancer ones were necessary, but most were just overkill. Like the health regen upon kill with arc blade or blink strike. I feel that was nerfed too heavily. tl;dr I'm a Hunter main and I'm frustrated with the Hunter's lack of great grenade and melee abilities. I don't know, I tried not to whine but I pretty much did. Edit: Oh, and I forgot Axion Bolts. Yeah, those are ridiculous too.
