Naming our guardians in Destiny 2 would be really cool, but i'l leave it at that.
But I think it would be cool if we could have further customization of our subclass supers. For instance, if I was using striker but I need long range, I can customize my super to doing some thing like that, say instead of releasing all of the force of my fist of havoc on a whole area, you could focus it onto a single target from a distance. And if I need close range for sunbreaker, I could switch to a greatsword or some other Titan class preference weapon.
Edit: For guardian names, I get that you are your guardian, but I believe that their should be more options, like if you want to believe you are your guardian, go ahead. But if you want to make a fictional badass character to never be forgotten, then give it a name.

"Guardian" "Guardian" "Hello, Guardian" "Lord Guardian" Who the F are you talking to!?
-
And could they talk again? Nolandroid is fine and I'm glad we're getting him back, but I'd like a little conversation with him.
-
Neat idea in something like Dragonball XenoVerse 2 u get to name your character and choose what abilities u wanna use. I usually use the personal of Jack (nothing specific) or very recently Robin after my favorite fire emblem character. So it'd be nice to do stop in destiny.

Mine do have Names... My Human Female Hunter is named after my wife's Rogue in WoW...Kitt My Awoken Female Titan is name Brie after her Shaman My Exo Male Warlock carried the name of Gallin(My Druid in WoW with like 3 years Ingame playtime, 12 years I have been an of and on again WoW Addict), unfortunately he fell to Darkness yesterday in a battle with the Taken...my 12 year old is a little mad at me today My new Human Male Titan has not remembered his name yet...his memory is returning but so far it's spotty My Hunter (Kitt) once had a twin sister named Katt(yup, and now my Cat carries her name on...Kitt the Cat), she gave her light when the Fallen attacked in the early days of the House of Wolves My characters are the Guardians...their story know only by me, to the City and other Guardians, they are...
Titan,Hunter and Warlock and by the Traveler, they have saved Humanities collective ass countless times and no one knows their Fracking Names
So yeah, I agree
-
I'll name mine Brick, and she'll be the prettiest.
-
I'd name my character Maxim-13, I've already decided that's his name. Also, about the subclass customization, I think that'd stray too far from the purpose of the supers themselves. Also...
I believe that their should be more options
Dude, seriously?
-
I've only named my hunter due to her playstyle: Gunblader
-
At this point, these ideas should go to Destiny 3. No new idea is going to make it into a game that's nearly ready to ship out to customers.
-
I'd like to see alternate supers for each of the subclasses that stay in line with the feel of them. Like defenders will have bubble and their alternate would be something like a roaming super, maybe they become super tanky with boosted stats allowing them to shrug off small arms, specials, and even survive rockets. Nightstalkers could summon a void wolf or two that hunt down enemies for several seconds. Sunsingers could fire an intense solar beam that disintegrates enemies.

From the looks of the comments people either aren't creative enough to think of a name, or won't be able to reminder the names they personally made....wow
-
People would come up with anything rude or offensive like that name f*** you bungie.
-
You are supposed to be your guardian.
-
Just imagine, golden gun sniper
-
Just name them in your head. Are you having trouble naming three characters and remembering those names for later?
-
Edited by TheW1ngedHussar: 5/1/2017 12:07:31 PMI'd like Bungie to have a RGB color slides and face sculpting slider (like the Souls series and Oblivion) in character customization and deform my character. Then I'll call my character beautiful.
-
Edited by thecheater740: 5/1/2017 2:38:20 AMYou can do that in Warframe. Warframe's version of perks on guns or subclasses are called mods, and instead of unlocking the perks in a gun's roll as it levels and infusing it, you level it up to get mod space to equip whatever mods you want. There's no power level system like light or attack, only straight damage. Mods for your frame (subclass but you can have all on one character) do things like adding max health or customizing your powers by adding or removing strength (damage)duration, range or efficiency (energy resource cost)
-
While I agree I really want more customization in our skills, supers, the name thing is odd. We do not play as our Guardians we are the Guardian having a separate name for them dosen't make sense. Granted that kind of sucks for people with usernames like Dick_Digger_420, xXChunky_Butt_776Xx or ZOMBIE_MOWER.
-
So essentially what you're saying is you want Shockwave and Solder Charge in Destiny 2. Shows how much you know about the current game while requesting stuff for the new game.
-
It was bad enough when I had to name all my characters in Dark Souls. I'm fine just calling them by their class.
-
Yeah just play warframe. It's exactly how you described this
