Whats the best way to get from 385 to 400 light?
Hi, I'm 387 light and after doing the forge so much I now don't know the best way for items, any help of how I can rise my light

Save all your exotic engrams until you get to 390. 390+ is the long stretch.

Strikes and strike chest help, and ranking up your vangaurd and faction. Exotic engrams..only open them for your lowest gear/weapon that is holding your LL down. (ie: LL is 390 but your chest is still 384...open an exotic chest engram) dont open exotic engrams, or legendary ones, if that item is already within a couple of points of your LL, save them. And of course NF, banner, raids, and crucible. My new character is 397...no crucible play, no banner, and only 1 NF and 1 raid completion. Took about 2 weeks.

I've always got the highest light boosts from Iron Banner. Pretty easy to get from 390 to 400 in one week. That's how I got my first 400's on PS4 and XBone.

And obviously raids and ToO ...it's pretty easy, just need a bit of luck

Pretty much everything has a path to 400. Just remember when you level up, decrypt exotics or turn in bounties that award stuff that you have the highest light level gear on. Also know which skeleton chest offer what items. Use those when your lowest light level item can come from the chest. Only chest and boots do not drop from chest.

I did heroic strikes while popping three of coins. Opening the strike chests for higher light armour and weapons. Iron banner when it comes around. Shax bounties. Trials bounties. Faction packages.

Use Motes of light, armor materials, heavy ammo whatever you can to upgrade your faction and you will get relative light level drops or higher

Raid on heroic, all of them.

Rank up packages now go up to 400. That is awesome. And three of coins. And IB. IB is a great way and I am hoping May has one. Only a few left for D1.

Well for once the Cryptarch can get you to a respectable 390. From there I'd just focus on Raids, Nightfalls and/or crucible. For Raids I'd suggest setting up your own sessions that are welcome to other like leveled guardians - you might get a vet or two who'd be willing to Sherpa.

Strikes will take you to 395, then you can level up factions, play Iron Banner or Trials, Nightfall or Raids, or CoE.
