I've been trying to do the truck depot mission in ghost recon wildlands for 100% completion, but it requires I stay undetected during the whole thing (even though it only tells you on the first objective) and I'm just not good enough at stealth in games, and it's because of my lack of patience. How can I get more patient for stealth games?

Just enjoy it at first I didn't like sniper elite 4 but now it's one of my favorites

5 Repliessmoke a little ganja and wear stereoscopic headphones. It adds just the right amount of tension to make you feel like you NEED to be stealthy. ;)

no one can detect you if there is no one to detect you.

2 RepliesEdited by TheArtist: 5/1/2017 11:14:05 AMPatience isnt a mechanic. Its a personality trait. The patient person doesn't get restless or bored when he's waiting ("doing nothing"), and is able to delay the gratification that comes from getting the result he wants. Also without getting irritated or restless. Part of that is what you're born with. Part of that is how you're parents raised you (were you rewarded or praised for being patient). Part of that is what your parents modeled for you (are they patient or impatient, calm or angry). Part of that is your own maturity and life experience. That is we develop a greater capacity for patience and delayed gratification as we grow older and wiser. (You're already seeing this, because you've noticed that there can sometimes be a painful price to pay when you're impatient....and you're starting to see the value in developing it). You can't necessarily change the previous factors, but you can change the latter one. Pay attention to what is going on inside of you. Odds are when you make that critical mistake, you're responding to an inner emotional prompt to ACT. You get bored. You get restless. You get irritable....and then you act (rashly) to make those uncomfortable feelings go away. Like when you scratch an itch to try to make it stop itching. But just like an itch. Just because you get those feelings, doesn't mean you need to act on them. DON"T act on them. Just sit and watch them....and become aware of how uncomfortable they are. Initially----like that itch you refuse to scratch----your mind and body will rev up the discomfort trying to pressure you into making it go away. But if you can resist that pressure.....you'll find that it either slowly goes away....or quiets down to an tolerable level. But its the difference between you're emotions being servants....or your master.

Stay positive and don't take chances. If you think "oh well I'll be fine, he won't see me" you might be wrong. Better to be certain that he won't see you rather than almost certain. You need to stay positive too. Don't get angry, just shrug it off and keep going. You'll do 10 times better if your mind is not clouded up with you being angry at the game. Know where you are going. When you get to a safe spot, look around. Note cover and enemies and find the safest path accordingly. Finally take a break if you need. Whenever I do really bad in a game I just switch to something else for a bit. I played Titanfall 2 a lot so I switched to Bf1. When I came back I kicked butt. Good luck with your mission

2 RepliesI've not played wildlands so it might not be possible, but I quicksave constantly when I'm trying to do stealth missions. Kill an enemy? Quicksave. Complete an objective? Quicksave. Make it through an empty room? Quicksave.

I remember the mission... I'm always a stealth player that kills everything though so... it took me 3 tries before I got it. I had a friend help me and we did the cliché movie thing where we pick targets then countdown and say mark then shoot them. It was fun, focused us and worked so why not?

2 RepliesForce stealth missions in Ubi games are always annoying. You just need to be happy to keep still and watch for a few minutes so you can plan your approach.

Be more patient?

That;s the point and challenge of a stealth game. I try to take out as many long-range units first, then move in. I play MGS quite a bit, and waiting actually provides more benefits such as learning enemy positions and tactics.
-
Just get someone else to do it for you. If its the mission I'm thinking of you need to be stealthy not once but twice.
-
1 ReplyAsk yourself, would you rather stay patient to finish the mission or re do it 10 more times until you finally decide to stay patient and finish the mission?
-
I don't.

Murder victims shouldn't play a role in their own defense.

Be the only male in a family with many siblings. You'll be patient enough.

I mean, hey, can't prove anything if they're all dead.

2 RepliesIs that the one where you have to get photos of documentation from a back room without being seen?

3 RepliesEdited by BLEEHOW97: 4/30/2017 8:18:30 PMI personally love stealth in games. It does take patience but it's so worth it to me. I'll sit in a corner for upwards of 10 minutes at a time studying enemy pathways and waiting for my moment to strike. Then move in silently take out one or multiple enemies and then get to another hiding place. Like a damn tiger. It's so fun to me. It's why I love games like Dishonored to death.

I pretend like I'm a secret spy/ heist thief when I do stealth to help me get into the mindset for stealth Otherwise stealth is optional (unless its mandatory), no one can cause alarms if there is no one alive to cause alarms

Wait till you're old enough to play the game legally, you should work out how by then.
