Okay, so, don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this gun and I'm so glad I have it, but I'm not going to lie, this gun is awful. Like, legitimately awful. From the beginning, knowing that VoG was coming back I knew that in order for Vex to be usable it needed some buffs and fixes but they did nothing to it, or rather, they said they did nothing. But Bungie is notorious for doing stealth fixes to stuff. So I thought I'd wait and see when I had it. Well I have it and now that I do I can confirm that it sucks. It sucks soooo bad. First off the first thing you notice is how incredibly bouncy the recoil is. Even with max stability the recoil is crazy (almost Hard Light levels of bounce) and the bullets, since they aren't hit scanned, and also thanks to the fact that it's a fusion rifle that wasn't affected by any of the recoil buffs, go literally every direction imaginable. It's horrendous. Even in close quarters, the place that Bungie expects Vex to be able to perform best in, again, since the bullets aren't hit scanned and go all over the place half of your shots dont even hit. And this is with Send it, I mean, even with Send it it's still really bad. The recoil and accuracy of the gun is still all over the place. If you don't take Send It, you lose out on bullet speed and more range. You gain 7 shots, but that's not even worth it. But, if you do take Send it, you lose out on your carried ammo capacity which is less than 110 shots if you have it on. With Extended Magazine with a Fusion rifle ammo bonus on, you have about 138 shots. That's horrible. You can't expect a primary weapon like a fusion rifle that acts like an auto rifle to be able to compete on the same level as a side arm in PvP when the bullets dont even land half the time. Not to mention in PvE, this is supposed to be your primary weapon. The gun you use most often.... but it turns out to be the gun you use least often because you either A. Run out of ammo in like 5 minutes or B. Dont even use the gun half the time simply because even in PvE the damage is not good enough to warrant it's use. I'm sorry, but even in the best circumstances of both PvP and PvE this gun performs less than mediocre. Yes this gun used to be amazing; yes, this gun used to do a lot of damage; yes, this gun is cool and it's nostalgia is fantastic; simply put however: Vex Mythoclast sucks. It sucks so very bad and it needs buffs. It needs recoil fixes. It needs bullet direction and ammo changes. It needs to have more than 138 shots total available. It needs to have a reason to exist beyond it being in existence. In the old days, when you thought about whether you were going to take Vex Mythoclast or another primary weapon that wasn't Vex, the choice was pretty clear to a lot of people, Vex was great but it wasn't OP. But it was worth using. Now, in this current day and age, you look at all the other primaries... I wouldn't even take Vex Mythoclast over freaking Zhoulis Bane at this point. Zhoulis Bane is better than Vex at this point. By a looooong shot. Can we please buff Vex please? Pleeeeeeease????
