I've never been very good at PvP. I enjoy the competitive aspect of the format but I have always struggled to find a balance of weapons I enjoy. I seem to enjoy the fast paced build of a voidwalker or bladedancer with blink and mida or other agilitly/handling weapons, however, I am looking to mix things up. I just recently went flawless for the first time and it has gotten me interested in experimenting.
Ideas I am thinking about trying, hardlight, winged word, adept exiles student, aetheons epilogue, chaos dogma. I looked at a weapon breakdown from Mercules which was amazing but I feel like the stats don't take into account certain rolls that make some weapons stand out above the others. I am looking for suggestions on weapons that I should look at as fun PvP weapons. I also am hoping to hear ideas outside of what everyone is considering. No palindrome recommendations please. No smartass comments about how PvP sucks or anything like that. Thank you.
Update:
Aehteon's Epilogue is super fun and was surprisingly effectice! Only have the exotic so I paired it with a sniper I have been wanting to try, the most recent trials sniper, which was awesome and I hadn't even upgraded it yet. Handled well with what seemed to be good aim assist and the scope lens had the same cool design as the others trials weapons. Was a fun pair.
Update:
I appreciate all the recommendations. To clarify, the reason I am looking for suggestions outside the meta is that I really do not enjoy using hand cannons. That is why I asked for no palindrome recommendations. Eyusluna Would fall under that same category...
Update:
Autorifles getting a lot of love. Sidearms have just replaced the shotgun but most of the great ones are not available from vendors anymore
Thanks

I'm currently using Antipodal Hingsight, sniper, and thunderlord. The snipe you use doesn't generally matter as much as say different types of autos you can use. RN i'm just using this rare omolon one that dropped in crucible. Antipodal Hindsight is an absolute beast and is so underrated. The one fro the crucible handler has an absolute god roll. Rodeo, Rifled Barrel, and Hidden Hand. It has almost no recoil due to rodeo and the range and aim assist are absolutely amazing. I shouldn't have to even say anything about thunderlord.

1 ReplyKvostov & throw it on 900 RPM with stability perks. It's stupidly high rate of fire AR where the bullets go exactly where you are pointing.

3 RepliesPrimary: wormwood Special: wormwood Heavy:wormwood Class: wormwood Subclass: wormwood

I like no land wormwood still or ice breaker palindrome
-
As an ex-voidwalker main, I loved using bad juju.

2 RepliesCongrats on your first flawless! Mida Wormwood is always reliable. Exotic Fatebringer is really good since explosive and arc burn create ultraflinch. Winged word, Defiance of Yasmin, and Praedyths are all fun snipers depending on your style.

Primary: Blind perdition (MIDA on long range maps). Special: Sidearm (Tresspasser if you want to have extra fun). Heavy: Silvered dreid. This is a fun and competetive loadout🖒
-
2 RepliesAlright all these trashcans are feeding you garbage. The optimal loadout is Stormcaller, Palindrome/Luna/PDX/Hawksaw, Matador/Icebreaker, Rockets for Elim/LMG for everything else.
-
1 Replysay no more. First curse and wormwood. OP

Once you get the hang of it Plan C is the most fun weapon in the game IMO.
-
2 RepliesPossibly b-29 party favor + decent side arm + silvered dread. Fun combo to mess around with if u can get solid rolls on your guns.
