What is considered a "good" ELO?

Considering people have looked at ELO as the most "accurate" way to judge one's skill in the Crucible, what would a good ELO be, exactly? For reference, my Trials ELO is 1258.53

  • Ignoring the people who think it matters is the best choice.

      • 1200 is average. Anything above that is technically good, but I don't think many see it that way. I would say 1600+ is good, 2k+ is great and 2500+ is elite. But since elo is farmable it's not a good judge of actual skill.

      • I will preface this by saying that trials is 3v3. So individual elo/mmr is not a very great indicator of skill. Some will say different. I disagree. That said. If I fly into a match and everyone on the other team has around a 1200-1250, I know we will most likely win. But, I usually have a very good Trials team. I'm not saying this because I'm some great god of pvp. Now if we fly in and I see a couple 2k+ mmr I know we are going to have our hands full. Elo score was different from mmr. I don't know how they work, but a 1600 elo is roughly equivalent to an 18-1900 mmr. So if your elo was around 1250, your mmr is probably 1100 or something. And I would not consider that good. But remember, it's all in the teamwork.

      • Do yourself a favor and enjoy the game. Dont chase ELO's or k/d's.

      • One - don't base your entire opinion of someone based on Elo. It can be misleading. Look at all of their stats, KD, win percentage, Elo, number of flawless runs, etc to gauge a players skill. Two - Bssed solely on Elo, there are different tiers. The highest bracket, called diamond, starts somewhere around 1750. I would say that around 1750-1800 is where a player is slightly above the average. Good is provably 1900-2k. Above that is consistently good.
