I'll make it simple:
•Automatic disadvantage to the rest of the specials in this meta... Except shotguns ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°
•Is able to compete with hand cannons, auto rifles, and sometimes pulse rifles without overpowering any of them consistently
•Requires the most skill b/c of no hitscan
TLDR:Weak in specials class, Decent in Primaries, Skillful Weapon
Take a look at Titan fall 2, they have a Fusion Rifle up with HC and Auto Rifles and they managed to balance it.
That is true, but you know the community. If that happens and if there is a pvp mode in destiny 2 the forums will be filled with nerf posts. And sadly, as usual, bungie will listen. To top it off fusion rifles are the first thing they go to for nerfs lol
-
I don't think you want that...
-
3 RepliesMaybe I'm crazy, but I want Snipers, Shotguns, and Fusions to all be primaries in D2. The 3 tier weapon system is weird. Sidearms are the only outlier to me. I don't really know what they could do with them. This would obviously require them to become harder to use, and a buff to the current primary situation, but if balanced right it could be really interesting.

Fusion rifles dominate in PVP when used with experience. This idea is ridiculous.

2 RepliesI really hope this is a joke

2 RepliesWe have a weapon called Vex Mythoclast, you should try it.

Nerf fusion rifles!

3 RepliesActually, someone in the trailer was toting a big gun that looked awfully like a fusion rifle... maybe your wish is granted?
-
3 RepliesI disagree with fusions being an automatic disadvantage. I've been using a fusion rifle since the beginning and I can destroy other specials. Look at my fusion kills. They're fine as a special.
-
No no no
-
8 RepliesEverything with potential to one hit kill shouldn't be a primary. And before you ask, I think nlb and universal remote were two of the dumbest things to happen
-
8 RepliesOriginally hand cannons were secondaries, which made sense. I think shotguns, snipers, handcannons, sidearms, and fusions should be specials. I think auto, scout, and pulse rifles should be primaries. I think there also needs to be grenade launchers and cannons or beams or gauss rifles as heavies.
-
No...
nerf fusion rifles. Make them all heavy weapons without changing anything else
-
1 ReplyAre you stupid. Fusion rifles (a weapon used for certain situations) are bad compared to shotguns, snipers, and side arms, (also weapons used for certain situations) so let's make them a primary weapon!
why not just buff fusions
-
Make Fusion Rifles Great Again!

Edited by Length Wit Some Girth: 4/21/2017 10:42:58 PMOh would you look at that, someone misses running around with their special as a primary.
kappa
I said this one and the whole forum went nuts. way to much salt for me to handle🤕 but good luck weathering the storm of crap
-
4 RepliesWhat we need is a Hardcore option for every game type. Every weapon is a 3 bullet kill. Every single one. Melee? Ohk. Body snipe? Ohk. Everything.
-
1 ReplyThere is a fusion primary... though it's been nerfed needlessly for basic fusion balancing attempts (and fails) resulting in over-nerfs after it's initial balance patch when it originally released with VoG HM.
-
2 RepliesLol I thought they already were based on how people run around with them all game.

17 RepliesHonestly, FR's are great as a special. They just need to make them great again like they were before all the nerfs in Y1. FR's were some of my favorite weapons before they started to nerf them into oblivion, mainly to keep reducing the combat effectiveness of the Mythoclast. I've heard stuff like "FR's are in a pretty good spot right now" but when it is only used by 3% of the population overall, it's either not competing or not simple enough for people to understand how each stat effects the weapons performance. The result is that most people don't even bother. They want a gun that when you pick it up, point it at something, and pull the trigger, it makes that thing your pointing at dead. FR's are just too inconsistent now, and have been since Y1. Too much risk, not enough reward.
-
Already did. Just one. Nah, I'm just joking with you. But that's a pretty good idea.

They should just do what most games do nowadays. Let you choose what weapons you wanna bring in to the fight. What a sniper and a shotty? Sure, and you dont have to make your primary be no land or universal either. Want a fusion and sniper (without using mytho)? Go for it. Also, i think there was a game that did this... cant remember though. It was something like you could pick what weapons you wanted in which slot(s) (Primary, secondary, special/heavy/sidearm) and depending on the slot the weapon was allocated to, it would calculated ammo accordingly for said gun. Wanna main a sniper? Put it in your primary. (And say it was a 4 round mag with 10 spare. Now in your primary slot itd have 24 spare) put an smg or ar in secondary (that has ~300 spare rounds) and now that ammo is cut in half or so cuz its not your main gun. If they did something like that i bet people would hop on board to that sort of decision

1 ReplyMythoclast?? Anyone?? Cum'on......
