Easy mode? Most exotics became quests lol. 3 of coins is a choice. If you want harder then dont use them. Its as simple as that. You still have to work to get them, use them and wait for them to work. Not to mention its not going to give you the type of engram you want. Why do so many people feel the need to dictate how others want to play a video game. If you want to earn the exotics differently then do so.

If you think 3oC just removes that special feeling you got in Year 1 when finally killed Xyor the Unwed to earn Thorn, then just stop using them. As has already been pointed out, there are still plenty of Exotics that still require quests: Outbreak Prime, Y3 Thorn, Y3 Gjallorhorn, etc. The new Raid primaries are Exotic. None of those will drop from 3oC. So we're only talking a subset of Exotics anyway. Remember, just because Exotics are in the loot table for an activity (Shaxx's weekly, NF, etc.) doesn't mean you'll actually get one. You're might just get a ghost shell or Legendary from NF instead. But above all, why take 3oC out of the game just because OP doesn't get the same thrill out of Exotic drops when using 3oC? Doesn't make sense.
