I've thrown them and had them go right by heads without tracking and sticking
And? More often then not they magnetize
tell me the "skill" involved in hitting A WALL next to a team capping a zone.
You toss the nade past them, not as easy to hit an angle that will effectively block a zone when there's enemies already on it, there's a lot that can go awry including it hitting the ground/random object, activating at a weird angle where it hits to the side of the zone, activating straight but not close enough to deal damage, etc.
There's more thought involved on placement, gotta throw it high sometimes but not too high, gotta get close enough to do it comfortably but not get team shot. And so on.
Fusions come down to peek, toss, slide back out

Edited by Lost Sols: 4/19/2017 9:51:52 PMLol, I can spawn A side on Rusted Lands on control, run and chuck 2 lightning grenades towards C and take out an entire team. Have done it multiple times. "A lot can go wrong" is just an excuse that can be applied to anything. I've got so many lightning Grenade kills it's stupid and yeah, some were nice throws but a lot were also, there's a wall and people are stupid. I can tell you unequivocally that you would hate playing me more throwing lightning than fusions. The point is they're both great, but if you take what magnetism exists off fusions, they're probably trash. They weren't a problem for 2 1/2 years. Why now?
Lol, I can spawn A side on Rusted Lands on control, run and chuck 2 lightning grenades towards C and take out an entire team. Have done it multiple times
I'm not saying it doesn't happen, however sticks will get the kill far more consistently
"A lot can go wrong" is just an excuse that can be applied to anything. I've got so many lightning Grenade kills it's stupid and yeah, some were nice throws but a lot were also, there's a wall and people are stupid.
Players being stupid is thier own fault, you can slide, move or jump away from spikes, incins or lightning, they take at least 2 ticks, fusions create very little counter play aside from stay away and don't challenge (will equals the most boring games imaginable)
I can tell you unequivocally that you would hate playing me more throwing lightning than fusions. The point is they're both great, but if you take what magnetism exists off fusions, they're probably trash.
And I disagree I'd much rather face 6 strikers then 6 sunsingers, and removing fusions tracking still leaves them as 1hk, players land smoke just fine, why do you thing fusions would be so bad?
They weren't a problem for 2 1/2 years. Why now?
Because fusions are best at close range, with the nerfs to nades that were effective at both long and short range and the weak primary weapons they have emerged as a problem.
