Today was a doozy. Lol. Clan mates and buddies went to bed so I wanted to try and squeeze in another quick challenge mode run. I join a group at Vosik.
One guy left immediately bc his parents came home and he got in trouble with them. Same thing happened to another kid ten minutes later. Next guy that joins was some kind of clown who thought intentionally sabotaging our efforts was funny so I booted him. He sent me some pretty funny hatemail stating that I was a fag for booting him, the reason he cited was that he died on purpose and -blam!-ed up on purpose.
No shit, that's why you got the boot bud
One guy got booted and couldn't get his internet back up. Another guy wouldn't listen. Then we just called it a night. What a damn disaster. Really makes you dislike the community lol.
What's your worst LFG experience?
Edit: Ayeee we be trending up in this bitch

I enjoy the game when I'm not dealing with stupid people. I try to be kind and sometimes I can't always be nice. My experience with lfg is bad, because you try to get specific players to join you by choosing a flexible ability to choose what your looking for and unfortunately most players don't use mics and that becomes stressful especially when you wanna get better by being around people who have your back instead of their own. I realized I have been getting very toxic myself lately and it's not a very good thing. People are very hard to deal with and ehen you don't realize how bad your emotional state gets you will become seperate from yourself and because an evil person that can seriously do more harm to yourself and can affect how you approach people. LFG is made for many reasons, and honestly it can get very frustrating when most people don't read what you asked for. I'm seriously just exhausted of the stupidity and lfg is useful for when you wanna have fun or deal with people that can teach you or abuse you. We all got our loves and hates.

Some kid posted on lfg asking for help with his math homework. I decided to join and I ended up helping him.

1 ReplyKid in full trials gear, bitching about everyone's load out, complaining about how we were running, and dropping the N bomb on anyone he got upset with. He was a stress monster the ENTIRE time, and we eventually just booted his ass. Not to mention, his dumbass was the cause of most of our wipes.

10 RepliesI play with my buddies from work/their friends, so I normally don't have issues. My good friend is absolutely against picking up blueberries because every experience he's had was shit. My favorite bad moments were: VOG, about a month after it came out I found a team on LFG as not many of my friends had PS4 yet. We spent twenty minutes trying to form the spire because these two kids were arguing and not paying attention. We split them up and sent them to different sides, I took middle instead of left. This continued until Oracles, where the leader kicked them both. It got worse. The two people who joined were THOSE guys, you know the ones. "If anyone dies than I'm out of here, there's no reason to die, this raid is simple." Promptly dies 10 seconds later after walking off the map shooting an Oracle talking about how it was glitched. We spent thirty minutes on Oracles before I personally quit because I couldn't stand listening to these kids. The best would have to be when a guy got in a screaming match with me because the Captains kept killing him during Vosiks. I'm a calm guy, so normally I wouldn't entertain it, but I was in a bad mood. So, I verbally destroyed this guy and showed him why it was only his fault. After the fact, he abruptly left and everyone in the group was relieved. About two hours go by and I get a message from him. "I was streaming, thanks for calling me trash in front of all my subs. My streaming career is ruined now." To which I responded. "Don't worry bud, your career was ruined way before me. You never would of got big. I just saved them a lot of money and time." =) Rekt?

5 RepliesMy first worst LFG experience happened like this: I was looking for a team to play iron banner and found one. now the fireteam leader is a GIRL and as soon as I join I hear this Random: Hey guys let's inspect him Random: oh man his Titan looks so cool Fireteam leader then proceeds to bitch about how my Titan looks. Fireteam leader: I WANTED THAT STUPID HELMET AND THAT FUR CHEST ARMOR FIRST Me: Girl why are you so angry Fireteam leader: BECAUSE YOU DON'T DESERVE THAT ARMOR I DO Me: look it's just plain armor to me I don't care about the looks or compliments Fireteam leader: if I HAD that armor I will get more friend requests and I will be invited to raid more than you. Fireteam leader:(Says this in an spoiled girl tone) and then I will be the hottest Titan ever. Me: why don't you tell your daddy to buy it. After that I was immediately booted. Sometimes it's rare to see girls act like this in Destiny 🐕

Xur shows up selling NLB in Y1. I find a vog lobby, hoping for the elusive Pratorian foil. We're at confluxes. I hop down with another teammate. After a few minutes the other 4 haven't hopped down, other guy down there dies and they call a wipe and jump. I stayed up top for the first conflux just to see what they had been doing. They were using no land. To snipe goblins and run out of ammo. Got to oracles while running the entire conflux stage with the other teammate then decided they were never going to get past oracles.

I shit you not I once joined a raid group of FIVE girls. Now ladies, Im sure there are many of you that are super chill, but these five were not you.
For the last time Emma I dont care about Jackson
5 RepliesJoined a group and I remember exactly what the post said: Oryx need 1 330+ have touch of malice adult or kick giving you five tries. The group was filled with 320 kids. One was getting yelled at by his mum. One was getting hit by his mum. One was blasting dubstep down the mic. Two were finishing up a cod game. I had the decency to wait through the cod game to browse my phone and when we get in one of the starts the encounter without discussing tactics and then some kid just leaves right as another kid that I'm pretty sure shouldn't even know how to talk joins. That kid joins and he is 284. As soon as someone said okay and stepped in the blight thingy I just left and didn't play kings Fall for two weeks.

2 RepliesOne of the funniest times I've had. Me and my friend found this guy that was super chill to play trials with. We just wanted to have fun and try to get to 7 wins. We got to 7 wins and went into our next match. During the 3rd round I noticed the random had stopped moving. I asked if he was okay and there was no response. So about 20 seconds later there is a big crash and he yells. He had fallen asleep right in the middle of a round and then fallen out of his chair. Me and my friend were hysterically laughing for about 2-3 minutes while the guy apologized over and over for falling asleep

5 RepliesI kid you not, somebody got raided by the SWAT in a group that I was in

Year two. I join a KF at Totems. We try it a bit, I don't die, even though I was a bit low. Reason we kept losing is because the entire fireteam besides me was either High or 9 years old. Went real smooth. We somehow beat Totems and attempt Warpriest. I had to get Aura every time because I was the only one Focusing/of age to do it. They eventually started cussing me out because they wanted me to get the Aura down on right and somehow jump up to left with a part of the Aura left. EVERY TIME. Woo. King's Fall.

Pretty much the last time I ever did anything in WOTM, killed Aksis on challenge, the assholes I had run the raid with kicked me for no discernible reason before I could get to the chest. They even left me in the party so they could continue laughing at how awesome they were for kicking me. That put me off raiding, LFG and destiny in general for a long time

3 RepliesEdited by GeT ThAt T4nG: 4/19/2017 6:41:34 PMLast weekend, used LFG to find a group for trials. Get two people, both pretty decent players. Stat wise at least. Lose the first game to one of the crappiest teams I have ever faced, literally ever. One of the guys goes 1-7 blaming every death he has on us bc we weren't there to support him. Instead of idk not pushing by yourself. He leaves. I start a new post, get invited to a party, I join the party, and not 20 seconds after I join the party the dude that just went 1-7 comes in the party. He says man tang you suck, you guys don't need to play with him. He's bad. I say, weren't you just the one that went 1-7 and literally caused us to lose to abunch of .6 kd players? He goes na I was in first place on the team. At this point I'm in complete disbelief bc I was in first place on the team lol. So the kid that's party leader decides to boot me from the party, after I play a few games of IB I decided to check if they went flawless. They won 1 game. Karma is a bitch guy, a really really big bitch lmao.

2 RepliesI just did an attempt at Aksis P2 where someone died within 10 seconds of the encounter starting that was pretty special

1 ReplyNot my worst experience, but last night some guys were convinced we could 2 phase Vosik and not activate all rooms. We told them we'd fail Challenge Mode, but they were obviously MLG so we did it their way and weren't surprised when they rage quit without Adept drops.

Since Tuesday, here were my experiences. Tuesday, joined a group where they praised their d*cks. Ya longer than mine, etc and then they turned a porn video in the background. Even a phone ringtone calling "ya r nigg* f*ggot" ....could not stand it - I left. Wednesday, joined a group where the party leader is a 10 yrs-olded kids. Talking non-stop. Invite several of his friends with blue weapons and armor. Door bell rang "sorry guy, someone was outside the house, we could not open the door since parents don't allow" . Door bell rang, "let me sneak out to see who"..."oh sh*t, i die ?" . Surprisingly, we were able to finish the Vosik challenge. At Siege Tank, he went to the tower and give me fireteam leader, i gave to someone else and that person kicked him after warned him few times. Yesterday, joined another group - the party leader : a non-stop vulgar-talking guy. Each time, someone dies , he insulted "go and stand in a street until you see a car because you're so dumb to die in here" ...all the lewd jokes with another adult guy for the whole Vosik challenge. He also said"someone f&cking pick the bomb, i won't pick it" . I quietly left for not being able to stand the insults. Feeling hope that today, I will meet some friends as in ..... ***** Louis Amstrong ****** I see trees of green, red roses too I see them bloom for me and you And I think to myself what a wonderful world I see skies of blue and clouds of white The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night And I think to myself what a wonderful world The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky Are also on the faces of people going by I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do They're really saying I love you I hear babies crying, I watch them grow They'll learn much more than I'll never know And I think to myself what a wonderful world Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world

1 ReplyEdited by Raider TCK: 4/21/2017 2:13:06 AMLate in year 2 I joined an LFG team on normal for kings fall. I had 50+ hard mode completions at that point so I was pretty experienced at kings fall and just felt like a nice easy play through. 6 and a half hours later I couldn't stick it out any longer as we had been stuck on daughters for 2+ HOURS ON NORMAL before killing them. And hour into oryx and none of them could survive on their plates long enough to get a single damage phase done. They were all 320+ and I was single handily killing all the ogres for them. I joined a hard mode team and got the hard raid done in less than 50 minutes with a good team. I learned that day that players who leave learning how to raid for that long... there is a reason they couldn't get it done. Some people just don't have the communication skills required or the mentality to raid and work as a team. They can't memorise the simplest of mechanics, count or know their left or right. It was the last raid 'Sherpa' that I ever really tried. Edit: I once joined a team back in vanilla before I knew about LFG who I saw on Venus trying to get into the vault of glass with only 5 players. I helped them get in and they invited me to join them. Turns out they were all Japanese. They spent most of the raid taking screenshots. Talk about reinforcing stereotypes.

When people tell me how to do things I have already been doing, or telling me, and only me, how to do my role. Drives me batty
-
1 ReplyNow i will preface this by saying i have an excellent internet connection, so i dont think it was totally my fault, but, i got invited to a group yesterday, as i joined the party it booted the other four members, just me and the host left. Then when i joined the game it did the same thing, ten minutes later and only two had come back, they decided not to post for anymore and that was the end of that group. Sorry guys.

Edited by Deathie: 4/21/2017 11:59:52 AMHoly fuck everyone has a horror story the likes of which make me cringe. I've been graced with only the finest groups on LFG. I usually quit groups if I hear someone younger than 16, so maybe it's my preventative measures that keep me safe. I also usually lead groups I join and take all lead roles like sword, aegis, etc.

Edited by Mar: 4/21/2017 4:45:56 AMWorst i had by far was in kings fall. (old kings fall, not 390) Joined a group with 2 kids, who refused to listen to literally anything said by anyone who was not them, 1 dude who though every word out of his mouth was comedy gold, 1 guy (not the leader) who thought he was the best destiny player and that this was actually a flawless lighthouse run, and the group lead who every 4 seconds reminded everyone that "if you are annoying i will kick you"... the kids didn't know how to play and refused to learn or listen, the try hard "flawless raider" douche bag kept screaming at everyone and freaking out over every tiny mistake down to people missing shots, the raid lead just sat there reminding everyone that he will "totally kick you all" and the other dude just kept trying to make everything said into puns or making "annoying" noises to be funny.... considering it was the day before the reset and i had no time to do any other time i foolishly said to myself "just get the raid done... there is no other group that will actually run this right now, and im out of time" after 2 hours we had only gotten warpriest down to half health before the kids rage quit after insulting everyone for about 5 minutes straight. somehow managed to luck out and down warpriest only to have the try hard remind everyone how absolute garbage everyone was and how this was the worst group ever seen. The leader then randomly kicked one of the replacements for the kid, who up to that point had not spoken more than maybe 2 words. fast forward another hour of this madness and everyone was lost in the golgoroth maze because the rager and the group lead REFUSED to not get the chest before i got kicked from the group for trying to show them the right place to stand... I hate this community some times... last time i used that "destiny LFG" site... used the forums ever since and SOMEHOW have actually had better groups on average... granted some are still total garbage and it seems every 3rd group is just full of pot heads who have no idea what is happening or where they are at (i mean that in the real world sense, not location in game).

This is why I never play raids with randoms and only do them with friends, if I can help it. I remember the last time I did a raid with randoms..... oh lordy was it an experience. One kid kept screaming and blaming everyone but himself, two were complete noobs who said they knew what they were doing but clearly didn't. One was blasting music and deep-throating his mic whenever he tried to speak, and the last guy was actually decent, surprisingly. Never again. Forget that shit.

3 RepliesI was carrying a team in KF because my team was bad. I held Gaze, clutches Warpriest and totems. Guess what? We're at Daughters. We keep failing. Here we are, up on the pad trying to kill the second daughter. 2 guys died, relic runner fell off. I lost the bubble, dying by my ToM. But guess what? I had self revive! Wasn't going to waste it though, as we'd obviously lose. Few seconds later I'm back in orbit, having been killed. I told the leader that he kicked the wrong dude. How does he respond? He freaking curses me out. He goes on and on about how I'm the worst player he's ever met. I explained to him why he was wrong, and even provided game clips I had taken of my clutches. He didn't care. Continued to curse me out and deny my evidence as he explained how terrible I supposedly was. I mean, look at me! Obviously I'm terrible at raids and will never achieve anything. It's too bad that I'll never have a single completion due to my incompetence. Can someone carry me please?
