There are some important questions I need answered before pre-ordering or even buying the game.
1) What kind of content should we expect
2) Will there be dedicated servers
3) What anti-cheat will be used
They say they are releasing it on PC, but if the last two are not addressed I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole on PC. I would rather play on PC as it generally provides a smoother fps experience, but they are going to have to make substantial improvements over Destiny 1 or it would be DOA on PC.

Without dedicated servers it would never last on PC. P2P connections just aren't stable and are horridly unsecure when connecting directly to another person's computer.

2 is a requirement for 3. Can't have reliable anti-cheat without dedicated servers
-
Even without anticheat. You'd have fully open ports allowing connections potentially from other countries.... You think they couldn't wrap a worm in a package and send it through destiny?
-
For sure, it's 2 and 3 not or. 2 is largely for security, 3 assumes 2 and is for fair game play.

Yeah, I was looking at making the jump to PC but I don't see it playing on my computer natively as I run Linux and don't want to have to run a hack job or dual boot. I'd still like to see how how they do it. Dedicated servers are a necessity at the very least.

I feel you there, Wine and virtual box just don't cut it for gaming, frames go to shit. But the fact that I could pump out better graphics at a higher fps, assuming latest hardware, kind of has me interested. Maybe they would have native Linux and Mac OS versions through Steam? IDK, I'm definitely in a wait and see position. While I'm not expecting good news, I'm still hoping.

Besides I doubt they'll let you port you character.
