They should at least have an easier/learning level on the raids that has match making. Maybe the harder levels wouldn't have it. This way people could go and learn the mechanics of a raid with randos and choose to move to the higher levels with the match made team (if you get matched with a decent group), or you can move on using the old methods.

1. Optional makes no difference on being able to succeed the raid or not 2. If it was optional then it would probably have a long matchmaking.

Been asking for this to be applied to the strikes every since they made it automatic matchmaking still not sure it would work for raids be a bit like winning the lottery but might get more people to at least try.
