How to get rid of Paid Carries and create a very badass ultimate skill mode for Trials. Bungie Please read this if you want more people to come back for D2.

I know that I am not the only one who is tired of playing try hards who 5-0 everyone and I also know a good amount of PvP players who would like to see a list for these types of players to play each other. My suggestion is this. [b]1[/b]. When a person goes flawless during the week (on the current character, so they could go flawless 3x a week on the normal list) they are not allowed to play normal mode trials. Instead they are put into a new trials match making list, (Lets call it hard mode trials). This hard mode trials list lets players keep all of their special ammo each round. The rounds are extended. To win the game you must win 7 rounds instead of 5. 2 heavy rounds, R2 and R5, 1 crate per round and crates spawn in at a random point with no counter showing the location. The capture zone moves each round, and captures slower. No scope glint, no radar and no revive. Exotic weapons allowed. Match making based on wins. Sides flip each round. Upon ultimate completion a new chest is available in the lighthouse, this chest would give players a new exotic emblem, armor set would be adept and provide bonuses to the user. Player would get 2 adept weapons. Players who beat this mode get a PvP gain bonus that boosts their rep and experience gained during the week by 25% and would have flaming fists. Twice-three times as much loot as normal mode. [b]2.[/b] For normal trials, all players start with this list during the week. No exotic weapons allowed. Special ammo is lost on death. Matching is random. Capture zone spawns in random spot. Sides flip each round. Heavy round spawns two crates again. Upon flawless completion players get the normal loot they get now. Essentially this box would become a tier 2 chest. All gear is adept. [b]3.[/b] When a player goes flawless, the lighthouse is permanently unlocked as a social space but they can only get the chest there if they go flawless. [b]4.[/b] Lighthouse venders are added, including one to buy your card for the week. Kiosks to reclaim lost gear. [b]5.[/b] [b]In all social areas[/b] there is an area to find a group to play with, just a basic LFG. LFG can show all game mode stats. [b]6.[/b] Lastly Osiris could bring exotic weapons and gear that are built specifically for PvP once a week like Xur does and you trade him passage coins to buy the loot. Comment which Ideas you like and don't like. I think this would get rid of the paid carries from people and make this fun mode more enjoyable for everyone who plays this game and would like to see the lighthouse before D2 comes out. I know my 600+ Friends list on my PS4 would be a lot more active in this game again. Lets start a healthy conversation about what bungie can do to get people playing Destiny again and making trials a fun mode for everyone who is just a casual gamer.

  • Although this would be nice it still doesn't fix kids from cheating. I used to play trials all the time year one and have gone flawless multiple times. But now like regular crucible it's full of cheaters and red bar people. Just separate PVE and PVP to have their own dedicated servers. And actually ban people who cheat

    Disagree about no radar, no revives and two heavies. I like the special and the moving capture point. Heavy shouldnt exist in pvp. And nerf stickies. Then maybe trials would be competative Edit: This wont get rid of paid carries. Most people could care less if the go flawless so the just wouldnt buy boons

  • Or we could just scrap Trials and quit ruining a good game to cater yo a minuscule portion of the player base that can't be satisfied anyway. I mean, you know, if we want D2 to be better than D1

      Unless you lose, lock the Trials card. Only eligible for one card, per character, per week. If you take your three loses you can pick up a new card. You pick up a card on your Hunter, that card is locked to your hunter. Non-transferable. Can't delete, dismantle, or destroy the card. You take your three L's, eligible for a new card. You go to the Lighthouse with your Hunter, no more Trials for your Hunter that week. Unless you lose, you get One card. Per character. Per week. Paid carries would still be a thing because you could have multiple accounts, or you could purposely tank three in a row, but it would definitely make things much more of a pain in the ass.

      • This would never work. The PVP elite do not want competitive play. Can you imagine the amount of salty tears if they had to play skilled teams every match! The oceans would rise by 6".

        • Here's a idea, I like the idea of trials tiers, we don't have ranked/social but what if trials had tiers kinda like prestieging in CoD. Now I don't play cod so I'll compare it to halo 2/3 since I loved those games (highest rank was 38 as a solo player in halo 3) So tier 1- equivalent to halo ranks 1-10 Tier 2- ranks 10-20 3- ranks 20-30 4- ranks 30-40 5- ranks 40-50 You would get moved up a tier each week when you go flawless and it would reset every week. Now rewards Tier 1 you would get credit for going flawless. You get a flawless emblem, a chance at an adept weapon but would be guaranteed either a weapon or armor (not max light) drop at the lighthouse plus flawless emblem Tier 2- same as 1 plus tier 2 emblem Tier 3- adept weapon, chance at exotic, 1 ornament tier 3 emblem 500 crucible rep Tier 4- 2 exotic engrams, 1 ornament, tier 4 emblem Tier 5- 1 adept weapon and 1 piece of flawless armor that is exclusive to this tier. 2 ornaments 2 exotic engrams and tier 5 emblem. 1000 crucible rep. Trials is for the best of the best and the best deserve to be rewarded.

                • You need a ' this is a ridiculous idea' on your poll. If people want to pay for a carry just let them. It's easier to beat a carry than 3 decent players anyway. Account recoveries would still be unaffected and players doing the carries don't complete a card which would make carries even easier.

                • The problem with this is that people who are paid to carry would ride out their Ticket until they are 8-0, then dismantle their Ticket and proceed to play the next Match. That way, they can stay in this 'Normal' Trials, get paid, and still dominate everyone else. There is no solution to paid carries. People just need to develop actual human emotions for Trials. Like just the other day, I asked someone if he would mind helping me go Flawless and he responded by saying "OK. Give me your e-mail and password and I'll do it". How stupid does he think I am? We all just need to stop and use our heads for a second when it comes to Trials.

                • paid carries would still happen? you just would not run the boons or equivalent and have the carry go flawless and yourself only be on 7 wins. or the person carrying would go reset there card before the final game... no getting around it

                  • Problem with getting rid of flawless people is this: say me and a friend carry one guy to 8 wins. Me and my friend throw away our cards and get new ones. Now we are back to zero wins and can continue the carry.[spoiler] I think once you go flawless ever you should be in a new list of players[/spoiler]

                  • I whole heartedly agree that those who have been flawless 80 times should not be allowed to play against this who have never been, but what your describing doesn't fix that. This system still rewards those who pay for carries or use lag or whatever it may be to go flawless by now letting them go flawless twice and the second one being even better than the first. The best solution would just be to have people who have already been flawless that week be put into a flawless only que but not give them any more rewards. The only reason to keep doing trials after going flawless is bounties or to carry someone, and to carry someone is giving them an unfair advantage, whether that is because they paid or it is irrelevant.

                    Your first explanation really shows why this post would actually not work and here's why eventually throughout the week there would be no one left to actually compete in the normal tier of Trials of Osiris. People that like to play Trials of Osiris even after getting to the lighthouse provide new players tried to get to the lighthouse competition. That's the whole point of Trials of Osiris it's kind of like playing King of the Hill. Why does no one ever get this concept.

                  • People would start paying for hard trials. All this does is give a trials trophy to lesser players, without having to pay. The lower end gear would become worthless, making less people play.

                    • For the people not believing Trials is a business, just go check out the Recruitment Section and see all the Spam for Paid carries/recoveries (the wannabe sneaky ones say msg me for details) lol. Just get rid of Trials altogether.
