I hope anyone who does pre order Destiny 1.5 enjoys playing the rest of the dlc / cut content from Destiny 1, and flying to the "new" social space in your ship that has no function other than to be a cute loading screen and your cool ghost thingy that does nothing but open doors and disappear when you hold on X on stuff.
Do you wanna know how I and anyone else with a brain knows this game will suck? other than the fact that it's already been leaked and proven that Destiny 2 is content cut from the first game? you'll love this. THIS GAME IS ONLY BEING RELEASED BECAUSE IF BUNGIE DOESN'T THEY ARE GOING TO LOSE THEIR COMPANY. What does that tell you? They have to release this "game" in 2017 because if they don't Activision is going to get the majority of their shares, so this game is being rushed out the door at supersonic speeds faster than the fail that was Destiny 1, unless you call a game that saw a horrible, god awful, disgustingly terrible first year a good game? did I mention that they cut up the first game? hahaha, if you're a fan boy like that 1 guy telling people to gets jobs and pre order the game then just ignore that part.
Reasons not to buy this game? can you not read? Teach Activision/Bungie a lesson and make them lose money on this game!!!
And for anyone who is going to say "omg look at your grimoire and time played you're totally going to pre order this or buy at launch blah blah blah". Wrong. Wrong. WRONG! I will buy this game, when they're done releasing the 19 versions of it and all the updates are out, not falling for the same lie that was Destiny.
Peace.

Pushed out products are usually half ass work put into it and knowing Bungie's has been scrambling since the day Destiny was released, it's safe to say it's another D1. If I buy a game I expect a complete game with the complete story with the amount of content that is stated in the game by the company. I'm not paying for a half ass job and hype.

How'd your Kings Fall raid go two days ago?

It was good thanks :) I very much enjoy that raid, probably my favourite

You notice the Beta access behind a 80 dollar paywall. This game better be fantastic and 10/10 if they are selling Beta codes a full game prices
-
Early access to the beta is paywalled.. the BETA itself isn't.

Extremely doubtful that in the contract there is a clause that states if Bungie does not release a game in 2017 Activision gets a majority of the shares in Bungie.

Are you stupid? You have Google kid, I'm not backing up anything I say to idiots go read it yourself unless you are going to prove me wrong then stfu.
-
Why do you respond to everyone with insults and calling them names? Can you not respond like an adult to all these "kids"s? Lol. Too funny.

Actually it was in some of the gaming rags awhile back. It is part of the original contact for the money Bungie took from Activision. Being a publisher Activision wants to publish games on time for a steady revenue stream. It is not unusual to put in motivating clauses such as they get a percentage of your company if you do not ship your product (game) on time. I don't recall if it was controlling interest but it was a large amount if Bungie does not ship D2 in 2017.
-
Incorrect, if you've read the contract (https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/357988/bungie-activision-contract.pdf) section 11.4 - the penalty is a reduction in royalties not additional/majority shares in Bungie
-
Actually I had read the contract that you pointed to at least a year or more ago (but never bothered to save the link), but then I also saw this article two months ago, http://kotaku.com/destiny-2-is-still-coming-this-year-activision-says-1792191111, which is apparently the source of this rumor. The original article stated that there were two independent sources which confirmed a change in the contract had occurred which would give a significant number of Bungie shares to Activision if Bungie did not ship Destiny 2 in 2017. Apparently though Bungie later notified Kotaku that this was incorrect and Kotaku issued a retraction in an updated version of the same article, which I and I am sure many other readers never saw. Rather than quibbling about specific details I think that we can agree on the bigger picture part of the Original Poster's argument that Bungie has a significant contractual reason to want to ship D2 in 2017 and that this reason might be enough to cause them to ship D2 in a somewhat unfinished state just as they did with D1 (though I personally doubt that it will be as bad as D1 was on day one, but it could still be somewhat bad).

Their actions speak louder then their "words" and that's enough info to get a huge Idea on what to expect in D2. Especially having a sandbox that plays their own game lol.
