I started this as a reply in another thread but thought it perhaps deserved it's own thread for discussion. So, the Cabal, headed by *sigh* Gary are enroute to Earth to Destroy the Last City. I said, why invade when you could have Flayers send Phobos crashing into Earth. [/i] Someone (will-i-am311 ;-) replied saying probably because we have something of interest to them such as the Traveler or Eris Morn. Then I got thinking... Maybe their occupation of Mars was specifically for access to Clovis Bray and Charlemagne's Vault. (Or maybe they happened upon them during said occupation.) They want SIVA and a Warmind. A highly militarised race such as the Cabal would surely have use for a Warmind. They tried to steal Oryx's tech after all. And after losing more than 50 percent of their troops to Taken, Vex, Awoken and Guardians, SIVA and/or a Warmind would give them back their edge, no? (Cabal Splicers anyone? *shudder*) So, there's no SIVA left in Clovis Bray and Charlemagne is inoperable. But Rasputin and SIVA are on EARTH. INVADE! Maybe they could even slingshot Phobos at the Dreadnought to avenge Primus Ta'aun. Oryx is dead and that would tie off D1's ends. What do you think?
