Palindrome or Ace of Spades?
Looking for a better hand cannon than what I'm using now. I have aos, I like it but lol I don't know I feel like there are better out there with better rolls. Which tolls should I look for on which HC.. ?

Just got a Eyasluna with rangefinder, reinforced barrel and luck in the chamber. Only way it could be better is if it had rifled barrel instead.

27 RepliesFor PVP you ideally want a Luna archetype of handcannon. The popular ones right now are the Luna and pali. Range is a must for handcannons, rifled barrel is better than reinforced barrel bc rifled doesn't effect stability. Rangefinder is starting to become a must have perk. I wouldn't recommend using the slowest rate of fire handcannons, simply bc they don't really put perform the Luna archetype. They require the same amount of shots to kill but they fire slower, so you'll be trading a lot. For PVP the Ace of spades really isn't that great, it's usable, but bc it comes with reinforced barrel your stability will suffer and if you use the stability perk you'll have very little range to work with. If it was me I would look for a rangefinder rifled barrel Luna. With the last perk either being luck in the chamber, Icarus, or hidden hand. Or you can wait for the crucible vendor to sell a rangefinder Pali again. Until then I would just use a hawksaw archetype pulse rifle. They are just as good and have more range.

try and get a good pally k its way more reliable than the aos and you have alot more roll options. The pally that was being sold the week before last is( in my opinion) the best rool ever wit truesight, reactive realoed, outlaw, and hammer forged is a god tier set of perks. if you get a head shot kill that procks outlaw and reactiv reaload after that then its home free to get two taps after tha. so if you can get a roleon your pally like that then your golden. best wishes with the luck k _RaptorUncharted

I've been saying this for a long time and many may disagree with me, but Fever and Remedy from the WotM raid is an absolute beast in PVP at least as far as I'm concerned and shouldn't be slept on.

iv got a pally with a decent roll and an eyas again with a pretty decent roll but i have been using hawkmoon

I would use something like Sureshot sight, outlaw or Icarus, rifled or reinforced barrel and luck in the chamber, reactive reload or rangfinder (due to the resent hand cannon nerfs range finder eysluna or palindrome or even a lord high fixer would be best)

2 RepliesDidn't rate the ILL WILL at first but it seems decent. My one has Rangefinder feather mag and Luck in the chamber. Due to feather mag mine just has 5 bullets in the mag giving u a higher chance to utilise that luck in the chamber.

Whichever hand cannon you get just make sure you acknowledge it's recoil pattern. In the stats a recoil of 80 means the recoil is almost complete vertical and a gun with the recoil of 50 means you will definitely notice a sway to the left or right depending on the gun. Imago, palindrome, lord high fixer, the devil you know all have almost a completely vertical recoil pattern. The eyasluna had a sway to the right that takes getting used to. The good thing about this is that you are able to see your opponent's movements more clearly between shots and this allows follow up shots to be more planned and accurate. [spoiler]whatever you get, you will need rangefinder and rifled barrel for it to be competitive [/spoiler]

Palindrome Perks you want: Rifled barrel Rangefinder (goal is to get these 2 perks together on your roll for max range potential) Luck in the chamber Reactive Reload Icarus Hidden hand (if you get hidden hand, truesight and sureshot will cap out your aim assist and hidden hand won't do anything, so you should choose steadyhand or quickdraw is etc) You can get rifled, rangefinder and 1 of these perks above on all these hand cannons except palindrome. The problem is getting lucky enough to get them to drop and with the perfect duo or trio of perks. In the meantime I would certainly recommend ace of spades until you get these hand cannons. I just happen to love ace and it will get you almost to range cap at 23.5 meters (range cap is 25.5 meters) if you use reinforced barrel on it. Hand cannon range right now is pretty bad even at max range so you gotta be mindful of that and what maps are best. Just a few months back we were at 34.5 meter cap sooo yeah wtf bungie! Damage dropoff is even steeper than ever and out of range you can eventually do only 33% damage if you land your shots. Happy Hunting My Friend! Im still hunting on all these except palindrome. Cant wait to get my rifled rangefinder Litc Lord high fixer or Finnala's!!!!
