This is on my Pyro (that is nothing but PVE, I hate this games laggy PVP) with 34 INT/FTH and 20 Dex/Str.
So at the moment I'm using a +3 Dark Sword that I infused with Chaos not realizing doing so removes my ability to buff it. (Don't plan on actually keeping this weapon, it's just all I can really use at the moment)
Before I remove the Chaos Infusion so I can buff it again, which one would provide more damage. The Pyro weapon buff (IIRC Carthas Flame Arc) or just leaving it at Chaos Infusion? I know the recent patch accidently nerfed infusions instead of buffing, but they already stated they are "working" on it.
Any kind soul want to give me the paired greatswords for my str character? I hate large weapons so have no desire to play through the game as a regular strength build but being able to dual wield greatswords is something that I could get behind for that type of build. Would be on PSN.
1 ReplyThe simplest answer is buffs are better than infusions. There are a select few instances were it isn't, but all you really have to do is think of it differently. Buffs add damage. Infusions change your damage.

1 ReplyIf you have the Ringed City, the Demon Scar is an excellent choice. Being a melee weapon with pure fire damage, and a heavy attack for casting pyromancies, it's a great tool for pyromancers. Plus, this allows you to have anything in your left hand, such as a chime or shield. Highly recommend

2 RepliesIt mostly depends on your stats but fire infusions suck Id go with paper or resin over an infusion. You get more damage
