Ever since I got the Vex Mythoclast and Necrochasm. I've been thinking, instead of the Touch of Malice and Outbreak Prime having no burns, why not make it like Vex and Necro by adding elemental burns. ToM could have void damage and OP could have solar damage. Either just add it in, or there can be a node where if you have all calcified fragments, you can give ToM void damage and if you have all dormant SIVA clusters, you can give OP solar damage. What do you guys think?

I always though that since OP is Siva based (which means it adapts to its situation) and since it doesn't make sense to have a two solar raid exotics, OP could just have a perk where it makes all damage effective against all shields (about half the bonus damage of a weapon with a matching burn).

The touch is so situational it wouldn't benefit from an element, and the outbreak would be downright broken if it did have an element. I mean, it does 10% more fallen damage as it is.
-
Honestly, the Touch is used for one thing and one thing only - anything outside of that small portion of the raid is meaningless. (and let's be real here: after the sleeper came around, the Touch wasn't even preferred for Oryx...just the sisters) The Outbreak is a great gun already. I feel like adding a burn would not do much for it except make it even better whenever a burn was active on a strike playlist. I would say adding a burn would be overkill, and besides isn't that gun suppose to be SIVA tech? I do not think the SIVA weapons had a specific burn, even with the enemies...

1 ReplyOutbreak Prime with an elemental damage would be so damn good. The gun is already amazing!
-
5 RepliesTouch of Malice doesn't need the element as it already does insane amounts of damage, and not very many Taken have a shield. If hey do, it's Arc, and they go down very easily with Yasmin. As for Outbreak, it would have to be Solar which would conflict with Steel Madula. The bigger picture is that Captains are the only shields in the Raid which appear a total of like 6 times at designated times. With the bonus damage granted from Siva Nanites, there really isn't a need for a burn which would take away from the other Exotics.

2 RepliesNo. Make them ALL SOLAR
-
If OP had solar, id actually use that in solar burn strikes over my vision adept. OP is by far one of my absolute favorite exotics in the game.
-
tom solar, op void damage. these are hard to get exotics so they should have some elemental damage.
-
4 RepliesGive Outbreak Prime a void element just to screw with people
-
OP should solar, malice void.
-
9 RepliesOutbreak would be borderline overpowered with a burn in my opinon, it's already really good
-
2 RepliesThey don't need burns. Both of those weapons already have perks to deal bonus damage.
-
2 RepliesHonestly if touch had arc burn that would be sick and outbreak would probably have solar, but that's not how bungie works
-
Every exotic should have an element imo.
-
Bungie addressed this back around the time they were doing the live streams. They confirmed there will not be burns on ToM and OP
-
5 RepliesYeah, that would be nice and expected. But Bungie hates fun and removed elemental primaries.... except for one arc gun. Totally made sense. Then added elemental primaries, but made them take an exotic slot for no reason. Oh yeah, and forgot to give the weapons that are literally the hardest to obtain in the game, the raid exotics, elemental burn. -_-
-
would be nice, but bungie would never do it. they don't want us to have too much fun.

Edited by SpakulatorX: 4/10/2017 11:26:58 PMWhy? Two guns I never use. Burns wouldn't change anything.
-
Too late since they're working on D2
-
At this point in the game, it really doesn't matter lol

2 RepliesYeah, but then theyd need to make ToM good to make that a worthwhile change
