I have an Ill Will with rangefinder + LITC as the primary perks but I don't know what to choose in the middle column. I have hammer forged, rifled barrel, and reinforced barrel. If I take rifled, my reload speed is smaller than the impact on a High RoF auto rifle. If I take reinforced, my stability is that small. Hammer forged on screen appears to give the same amount of range as the other two but is it really as effective? Additional range with no downside seems like it give less than additional range with penalty. This roll seems great and I would appreciate it if I could receive some advice on which perk in the middle is best! Thanks
EDIT: After doing the research, I've come to the conclusion that hammer forged is best, on the Ill Will. Reinforced barrel and rifles barrel do give much higher range bonuses (+24) and hammer forged only gives +12. However the base range on the Ill Will is 50, and the max range cap on all hand cannons is 62. Hammer forged is the best perk for this gun because it reaches the cap perfectly; although any hand cannon at or above 50 range would benefit greatly from this, no hand cannon has range higher than 50 like the Ill Will

Use hammer forged, adds the same range with no downsides and adds accuracy as well

You already have Rangefinder and the naturally high base range of the Ill Will. Hammer Forged should be enough.

3 RepliesJust take hammer forged, then. Unless you have hc reload arms, then take the perk that lowers reload speed and lwt your arms zero out the minus perk

2 RepliesIll will is one if not the only HC able to reach max range with hammer forged. So yea, hammer forged is the perk you would want on Ill will.
