Make the elemental damage on exotic primaries optional on raid weapons

Having to have a legendary and an exotic version of the same gun just for a burn is really inconvenient, and a lot argue that having a burn alone isn't even worth the exotic slot anyway. the life exotic perk should be on the new raid weapons, and it should be interchangeable with a burn, similar to how you can pick burns with murmur.

  • No. 1. The elemental damage is a free damage bonus on any activity where there is a burn modifier. 2. When raid weapons were legendary, and still had burns....People just STACKED the most powerful wepaons in the game. So many people just ran Fatebringer, Ice Breaker/Black Hammer, Gjallarhorn/ Hunger of Crota in EVERY activity..... 3. Worse still Bungie had to respond to this by making everything into bulletsponges to protect the challenge of the game. Because people were routinely using these loadouts to burn down bosses before the fights would even have a chance to get started. Making elemental primary damage an exotic level perk protects build diversity in the game....and preserves the challenge of the game by forcing you to have to CHOOSE where you want that power. Do you your most powerful weapon to be your primary....your secondary....or your heavy. Instead of just stacking the most powerful weapons in each slot.

    • I'd be all for this particularly as I'm not seeing a lot of drops of the primaries without them being the guaranteed exotic drop from challenge.

    • So make those adept weapons have a choice between a burn at the cost of an exotic slot, or have the life exotic perk at the cost of a burn, like the one way or another perks on boolean gemeni? I like it.
