So according to lore on Cayde-6 he kept playing cards to keep track of memories because exos would lose their memories. So I am wondering if the Ace of Spades being named after a card and being a hunter weapon (because Cayde is the hunter vanguard) has any significance to Cayde's card-memory thing.

4 RepliesHere is also one issue I have with ace of spades: how the -blam- is a weapon with obvious gambling/luck references not have luck in the chamber

4 RepliesSure. There's an old quote I found in Venus about it... "If you like to gamble, I tell you I'm your man. You win some, lose some, it's all the same to me." Deep stuff.

9 RepliesAlthough Banshi creates a brand new one for us, the ours is not the first Ace of Spades. The first one is Cayde'a weapon, which he still uses to this day, as seen in the Destiny 2 trailers. Although Cayde's card memory system is a more well known thing in the lore, it is also well known that Cayde is also an avid gambler. It made him into an Exo! (I'll tell you about that if you want.) Anyways, Banshi most likely named the Ace of Spades, knowing Cayde's habits.
