With King's Fall being the featured raid next week, I thought I would make a weapons guide for those who have never run King's Fall or just need a refresher. Remember, all three challenges will be active at once, making this featured raid quite a challenge for LFG'ers (like me).
*This guide assumes you already know how to do King's Fall. If not, check out Datto's guides, which are very helpful.
*This guide does not take into account any changes King's Fall may have.
*If you do not have Black Spindle, Sleeper Simulant, Outbreak Prime and the Touch of Malice, I suggest you try and get them.
*I will not be covering the adept/previous raid weapons in this post because of a lack of testing. However:
-All Crota's End raid weapons do bonus damage to Hive Majors, which will be extremely useful in this raid.
-Prepare to see a lot of Solar and Arc shields on enemies, so keep that in mind.
*Primary weapon choices are EXTREMELY lax in this raid, so that choice is largely up to you.
*PLEASE check with your team as to who uses Outbreak Prime. Although it is extremely good, a full fireteam of people using the Outbreak spawn so many nanites that the game will crash.
Opening Encounter:
-This is a close range encounter, so snipers will not be the best here.
-Mix of Taken and Hive enemies: Arc and Solar weapons are good.
-This area is just a few waves of enemies, so no specific recommendations here.
Exotic Recommendations:
-Solar/Arc Primaries
Other weapons:
-Anything except snipers and other ranged weapons.
Totems:
-This encounter's "arena" is relatively balanced in terms of range, but you will probably want a sniper to take out the knights up top.
-No Taken spawns in this fight, solar weapons preferred.
Exotic Recommendations:
-Black Spindle
-Solar Primaries
-Gjallarhorn
-Outbreak Prime
Other Weapons:
-Event Horizon
-Devil's Dawn
-Ex Machina
Warpriest
-Since this is the first "real" boss fight of King's Fall, the usual "snipers=good dps" rule applies here.
-Hive and Taken spawn, but a LOT more Hive spawn then Taken, so focus on Solar weapons if possible.
-During DPS phase, you will be cramped in with your teammates. AVOID ROCKET LAUNCHERS!!!
Exotic Recommendations:
-Black Spindle
-Outbreak Prime
-Touch of Malice with Weapons of Light
-Sleeper Simulant
Other Weapons:
-Any good sniper
-A good machine gun
Golgoroth:
-Rocket launchers are awful in this fight: do not use one.
-Snipers shred Golgoroth, so use a good one!
-If you are gaze-grabber, have a good machine gun for the orbs!
Exotic Recommendations:
-MIDA Multi-Tool (For Gaze Person)
-Bad JuJu (For Gaze Person)
-Black Spindle
-Red Death
Other Weapons:
-Any good sniper
-A primary that deals some good dps if need be
Daughters:
-A ranged primary will be helpful, with all of the solitary confinement on your plate.
-All of the ads here (except <20 thralls and the Deathsingers) are Taken. Arc damage is preferred.
-With the Aura of Invincibility, Touch of Malice can fire without reloading, making it great for boss damage. The SIVA Nanites and Wolfpack Rounds on Outbreak Prime and Gjallarhorn (respectively) do some serious damage to the Deathsingers as well.
Exotic Recommendations:
-Touch of Malice
-Outbreak Prime
-Gjallarhorn
-Black Spindle
-Sleeper Simulant
Other Recommendations:
-Any good sniper
Oryx, The Taken King:
-At this section, your team will have a designated runner. Whoever is runner may consider running Dark Drinker or Raze Lighter to eliminate the Vessel of Oryx early on.
-Unlike the Deathsingers, Oryx takes almost no damage from Gjallarhorn (cries).
-If you are runner and are using an exotic sword, a ranged primary and sniper are a must.
-Touch of Malice is the same in the Aura as in Deathsingers.
-Sleeper Simulant shreds the Ogres.
-A high impact sniper will be needed to snipe your knight.
-Very few shielded ads, Elemental Primaries not recommended.
Exotic Recommendations:
-Dark Drinker/Raze Lighter (For runner)
-Touch of Malice
-Outbreak Prime
-Sleeper Simulant
Other Recommendations:
-A good high-impact sniper (Ex Machina/This week's vendor Event Horizon)
-A ranged primary
If I missed anything, tell me and I will add it to the list if it is good! Remember, no previous/Adept raid weapons are on this list, but that does not mean they aren't good.

13 RepliesChallenge for Oryx isn't having a different runner every phase it's activating all 16 bombs at once. btw why not use sleeper on golgoroth? I haven't tried it myself but it seems to be top tier in terms of dps.
-
1 ReplyDown voted for mentioning Datto That guy ruined this game.

8 RepliesThe bonus damage of Outbreak Prime is a fallen specific thing, it is not nearly as effective with Hive and Taken so that will be interesting to see if OP is really worth the exotic slot in this 390 light version. If I remember correctly when they nerfed the 1kys archetype snipers they would no longer 1 shot Knights at totems and they never did at Oryx until we were above his level. It will be interesting to see if Machina/devil's dawn will be able to one tap these. Also avoid firefly primaries at warpriest, if you are holding aura firefly collateral kills will burn extra stacks and shorten aura time. Here are the loadouts I used until we went above 335. Opening and totems Primary: KF raid hand cannon (with firefly) or Ace of spades Special: Arc thesan to open, then 1kys. Heavy: KF raid LMG or Sleeper if using Ace of spades (solar heavy for Wizards at totems) Warpriest: Primary: Hawksaw or Grasp of Malok Special: 1kys (mine has triple tap and casket mag so I can do more damage than a Black Spindle with it) Heavy: Sleeper Golgoroth Primary: Hung Jury Special: Spindle (the 1kys does not keep up here) Heavy: KF raid LMG Daughters and Oryx Primary: Touch of Malice Special: 1kys Heavy: KF raid LMG I still use Touch for Daughters and Oryx the damage output while in Aura is unmatched and is not costing ammo so I have probably saved hundreds of synths using it. Since the nerf making blessing not complement it I have just been using sniper for ogers if I was in middle and on plates I use sniper for the knights and adds until the aura is available. I use LMG for the thrall.

Edited by PureGewalt: 4/9/2017 1:44:58 PMI respect the effort but here is an better guide: First phase: Fatfinger (Adept), Zhalo, shotguns and rocket launchers (Gjallarhorn if you don't need an arc pimary) Jumping: MIDA Totems: Vision of Cornflakes (Adept), Abyss Defiant, Spindel or any other high Impact Sniper, Ghorn Warpriest: Black Hammer wannabe or Sleeper everything else for boss damage is trash. No time to Reload is an primary and does almost no damage when compared to those above. Oh Ghorn is also good obviously. Golgoroth: Spidel or Sleeper. No Gjallarhorn it does less damage than primarys here. Sisters and Oryx: Touch of Molester, no real reason not to use it. Sleeper is extremly good too.
-
1 ReplyGood post buddy, the only thing I'd add to your list is a Super Good Advice is a must for the gaze grabber at Golgy because you'll never need to reload it!
-
1 ReplyFor Warpriest; if you don't have a black spindle, the No Time to Explain is a very good alternative which I dub the "poor man's spindle"
-
3 RepliesMost of the crotas end weapons have the increase damage to hive majors perks. Might be worth giving them a try in KF.
-
22 RepliesEdited by Dobbie: 4/7/2017 2:38:47 PMI am excited for the return of Kings Fall weapons. 1. This raid had the best primary in the game (doom of chelchis) 2. Smite of merrain has firefly, that is op 3. All weapons have cocoon, so I can constantly shoot sniper and primary, giving me the best dps I really hope the scout gets void burn and smite gets solar burn. These will be my favorite weapons going forward.

Expected kings fall weapon drop guide. Very dissapoint😢
-
9 RepliesThe hardest raid in the game. Prepare for wipes
-
Has anybody done the current raid to check out the changes yet? It seems like a certainty to me that they'll change the relationship between ToM and the aura. Sisters and oryx really was easy that way. Also, do we know of the challenges are staying the same for kings fall and wrath?
-
Zhalo supercell is great for golg as gaze holder for the infinite amo on killing orbs
-
4 RepliesSo.... Do you have to get the new armor to get the ornaments perk, or can you redo the raid now and get the ornament perks?
-
Edited by Hot Tasty Grits: 4/7/2017 6:21:12 PMHeavy machine gun is more consistent in the shade. Especially with cocoon because you can swap between your sniper and your machine gun without missing a beat.
-
Short version start - hung jury, black spindle, kf heavy machine gun. Sisters and oryx - touch of malice, solid sniper 1000 yd etc, kf heavy machine gun or runner hung jury, same sniper, razor lighter
-
1 ReplyIcebreaker? No mention wonder how good it would be.
-
Outbreak prime is pointless Sleeper High impact sniper Decent scout or pulse or hand canon or auto or whatever you want Done
-
6 Replies1. I would never use ToM at Warpriest. The best is sleeper + sniper. 2. Black Spindle at Golgoroth. Assuming it's challenge, everyone has to take the gaze. I would NOT recommend Mida or bad juju, that's such a waste of an exotic 3. Oryx takes "almost" no damage from Gally? What's the almost? Literally the only thing that actually "damages" Oryx is the bombs. If you're referring to stunning him, then honestly you can use whatever. Your group has bigger problems if you can't stun him
-
1 ReplyThere isn't just one "gaze person" for golgoroth if the challenge is active, everybody has to grab it
-
3 RepliesEdited by Syndicate Bias: 4/7/2017 3:16:31 PMEh. I don't think Outbreak Prime is needed. I did this raid when it was relevant just like every other raid before it. And only weapons I truly ever saw useful were Black Sphindle for the war priest and Sleeper for the golgoroth (THE Golgoroth) and touch for oryx and sisters with a high impact sniper for them. And raze lighter for the relic carrier to kill the knight. Tbh I'm not all for KF. I had every weapon and armour from it but wasn't my fave. The ornaments on the armour tho. This is the best looking set IMO. I'm just here for that. And maybe the doom of chelchis adept. But nothing more Never bothered to get OP either, I don't like the team aspect of the guns quest.

5 RepliesHigh impact scouts are great for one shotting most low level adds
-
1 ReplyA void smite would be a beautiful thing. ❤️

11 RepliesEdited by Masko: 4/7/2017 5:21:43 AMTL:DR King's Fall raid weapons guide (Abridged): Don't bother, they all suck. Each and every one..
-
10 RepliesThe biggest issue about the raid rewards for Oryx is the weapons. They are not set perks and the result is many are just trash. I'll run this raid maybe two times with my focus being VoG and CE. I don't care to do WoTM again.
-
11 RepliesReally, the only exotic you will want to use is Black Spindle for Warpriest and Goloroth. Then, for Daughters and Oryx, use Touch of Malice. Not sure how ToM is going to perform for Titans in middle killing Ogre's now that they nerfed the Blessings of Light on it. I guess we'll see...
-
1 ReplyOnly reason i would do this, is for a void scout rifle.
